Mine did not come in a box. It was in a carry case. And definitely liked the buttons better on the MM+ and felt the build quality was better on the it as well
If you modify colour settings and then try run a game, it will glitch out when you open it. You'll aways need to restart after changing the settings. That's what I have noticed anyway
It is that good, buttons are more comfortable (specifically dpad) than the rg35xx. I find myself playing on this one more than the rg35xx. Albeit the rg35xx screen gets brighter than the miyoo mini +
technical facts: with $80 for MM+ people will get oob better dpad, bigger battery, better L/R buttons and functional wifi. with $20 less for RG35XX, people will get better speaker, better screen (both in brightness and build quality), docked mode to bigger screen option, plus, the untapped potential with unlockable gpu (with proper software like Batocera, it is possible to play even PSP/Dreamcast games), while functional wifi can be enabled through proper software + external wifi adapter and rattling/diagonal dpad problem can be relatively easy (and cheaply) solved with electrical tape and a little bit of effort.
@@NickDyers The big deal for me on the 35XX is also the dual SD card support. Being able to move my rom library to other devices while keeping my OS files on the first SD card is great and something I didn't think I'd appreciate.

Kind of the whole reason I was interested in the first place was because of the ultra portability of it. So I think I'm still not buying this. It's a though call though because they have purple in stock which is my favourite.

I think I would’ve preferred this sliding box to what I got. For whatever reason Amazon shipped this to me in a bulky zip up carrying case that looks like it was meant for a hard drive
the carry case is actually usable though unlike the box, sure i'm a little sad I also got no box but it's all stuff that gets thrown out at the end of the day.
I have the device now and most of the games are too old. I only play Pokémon but the emerald version is with problems such as it cannot be saved or can’t be loaded.
Lol I am surprised to see you doing a video on this. I got into emulation partly because of videos you put out on controllers and emulation on foldable phones. RUclips sent me down the rabbit hole even further and today we're here at this video. 😅
Imo Pros: beautiful screen, very vibrant and HD like. Very thin bezels. Nice form factor. Can play games up to ps1 and arcades! Has wifi, for retroachievements, can play multi-player on multiple miyoo devices. Cons: causes hand fatigue after a while. Very small buttons. Horrible back triggers. No analog stick to play other ps1 games. Very bad battery life. On sleep mode the light stays on and drains like crazy.

saturn is one tricky system to emulate, even for adequate PC hardware. PSP/DC are much more easier to clone in ARM based computers (remember SNES vs PS1 emulation case ?) with current state of MM+ hardware, its impossible. ofc if retroarch humble enough to include mednafen, it should check one tick at least from sofware department. but the haughty RA devs wont do that ever :)
That excuse of the Saturn being hard to emulate just doesn't fly as far anymore. Most games play at full or near-full speed with minimal issues on halfway decent contemporary PC or Android hardware. But in this case I do agree that the MM+ needs a bit more horsepower from a newer chipset to pull it off.

Damn I thought I had it bad mine came with 40, there was another youtuber who had 90 ps1 games straight from the box. I honestly wanted more, but it's a really good SNES and GBA emulator. No mario games on any emulator though, I really wanted to try super mario RPG on the snes.
@@antjuanyoung8605 I think it has something to do with what size SD card you pick. The PS1 rom file sizes seem a little bigger than i thought. But that is also weird since mine came with most Mario games on each emulator plus Mario All-Stars. Adding more roms seems easy, drag and drop onto the card.

Miyoo mini plus is way better than rg35xx. I have both and there is official store at where i live for rg35xx so the price are just like advestised but not for miyoo mini. If you are not like me which live in country which basicaly can only grab miyoo from reseller double the price it original price go for miyoo mini plus. That extra dollar wont mean anything if you comparing how much things i need to mod my rg35xx to be as good as miyoo mini plus

@@NickDyers well yes 20$ its rather cheap price to pay for a more near perfect console to play. Its just cost around 130-140$ at my place. Its the same with rg35xx for potential unlockable gpu to play more advance console with batocera. Speaker screen are about same. The really advantage is that wifi, dpad and yes the batery is great since you can also change the batery super easy on miyoo mini p. But size wise i prefer rg35xx since i got a big palm.

What is a Vita? Seriously, the Vita wasn't even available in my area when it was new, so it's irrelevant. The 3DS might be good, but I'm not interested in dual-screen touchscreens. I've played GBC games on my Nokia 5310 back then (my last phone which still had buttons) and I miss that experience. I'm not interested in getting multiple systems of this kind though, I've ordered a Plus only because reviews show it has a better dpad and that's it (and a friend shown me a nonplus Miyoo and I really liked the whole idea, although I did acknowledge that it was way too small). What does the 3ds adds against this one? Higher cost, reliance on the second-hand market and these useless dualscreen gimmicks I'm aware about as cons only.
@@GraionDilach the one thing you’re right about is the D pad of the mini. It’s good. Def better than the competition of other Chinese handhelds, but I still say it’s way too small and the form factor of it makes it very uncomfortable. In my opinion I prefer playing most games from a company on their hardware. So a vita is great bc you can mod it and play PS1, psp, and all vita games. And they run great. The smaller “new” 3ds is phenomenal when modded too. It gives you access to all NES, SNES, GBA, Gb, and 3ds games among other things. I just feel like the OGs are better built and overall more enjoyable

Yes, it's bigger than the original mini. My understanding is that they're using a much more common screen to avoid scarcity.

Onion OS makes this really easy to use. Game state saves for one.

I modded my 3ds yesterday. Holy cow it's so easy! Way easier than the switch. Plus it's got 3d capability. No other retro handheld has that.
