Seems like the sharks added some good personalities this off season. They're realistic about where the sharks are at but willing to work to help make things gradually better.
Yeah i'd love to see couture on the ice with our young guys. I feel like he'd be a perfect veteran presence. Wennberg and Toffoli are good guys tho and I believe they will help our rebuild.
What an awesome guy! If our team can gel in the first 10 games and get off to a .500% start... I can see us raising eyebrows (shocking) some people and making it as the 8th seed of the playoffs (no joke)!!! Here's my list - these 6 are a lock in order; Nashville Predators Edmonton Oilers Vancouver Canucks Colorado Avalanche (Nichuskin big loss, also Landeskog status?) Dallas Stars (hangover without Pavs?) Winnipeg Jets (can younger guys like Perfetti, Barlow crack the lineup?) and then for the last 2 spots; Seattle Kraken (Montour, good July 1st), Vegas Golden Knights (injury issues with Stone/Hertl), Utah HC (first season, new arena boost) or San Jose Sharks (Big Mack Celly & Smitty snipes & apples all year long, and a healthy Logan?) all 4 of these teams will fight for the final 2 places in the standings. *NOTES:* the biggest part of the gel is do they keep the "Lund line" rocking, and is there too much spotlight on Celly/Smitty? I see Goody, Wennberg, Toffoli as bright spots with leadership.. how well will they be accepted into the room? Last year Granny seemed to be the defacto leader, and I hope the "Lund line" is the 1st line to begin the season, to me.. Eklund and Zetterlund had huge years last year and I don't want them to take a step back (or new guys put a priority above them) and see their ice time drop or them backburner'd for the new rookies who will not have earned anything yet! It takes time to be a real player in this league, as witness the growth of Eky/Zetts. They deserve "first right to shine" imho, and I would like to see the younger guys eased into roles. I also think Wennberg might actually end up being the 2nd line center (possibly) to start the season and then him & Sturm taking PK minutes, special situations like O-zone faceoffs, etc... Celly will not be powerful enough (yet) to win key board battles (and/or draws).. possibly putting him on the 3rd line to start the year is a great thing for matchups (maybe give him the starting faceoff in the home-opener with Smith & if Musty makes it... aka "the future")... as usually line #1 & #2 cancel eachother out in reg season (as witnessed Jumbo on the 3rd line in 2019 with Bancs & Sorenson was a matchup nightmare for teams), Smith is a gifted playmaker but I don't think he'll deserve PP1 minutes out of the gate, but it'd be cool to see a rookie PP2 line for the last 45 seconds, each time. I also would like to see Couture "C", Granny/Kunin/Sturm "A" off the hop as the "old guard", and see how Goody takes being a Shark again, lol... I say this because of the gossip/reaction around the NHL, but to me he's one of my all-time fave Sharks and deserves a shot at "C" after Couture (if he's retiring) and this rebuild goes well for him as an all-time great Shark and the pro he is, I can see it...that is until Smith/Celly are ready to takeover this team. As I say, if we ease guys in to roles, and guys like Granlund/Sturm are OK to be "silent assassin" type of leaders, Goody will show his true leadership in the room, and his experience winning cups will turn this franchise around again into a winner/competitor!!! I don't really get the Kunin "A" thing, but he brings a lot of heart so I don't overall mind it.

Go sharks
Sharks are stacked at center. It does not look like Couture is coming back
Always will have a special place in my heart for that game 7 win against Vegas other than that complete FAILURE..
