@@kskip4242 I hope that’s the case (sorry, swede here), because I’m going to both concerts in Gothenburg, Sweden. Hope they also do To Live is To Die, though unlikely.
Had to be great that it only took one minute into the gig to have Het and Kirk play together right in front of you. Immediately, those ticket prices were worth it!
Thanks for quick upload, not as emotional as Orion but still epic as fuck. Also was in seating (lower ring) today, sound was pretty rough compared to standing area.
Bravo! No repeat weekend just might be the trick needed to get more of the deep cuts, without needing to dedicate a third of the show to one, sandman, nothing else matters, seek and destroy, master of puppets and fade to black
Listen closely you will hear Kirk start Orion instead of Ktulu for the first couple seconds. Great little moments. ruclips.net/video/kB4mkghTCXQ/видео.html
Kirk also messes up right as the song starts. He accidentally starts playing “Orion”. At first I didn’t notice, but after listening a few times I heard it.
I was in section 122 row 11, sound was sooo rough during the first few tracks, pretty bad without earplugs, thankfully it got better by the half of the show!

Why do 70% of these people when you turn to the crowd look so unenthusiastic? Like, how the hell (and why) did they get tickets for the Snake Pit? I'm here sad I didn't get these tickets and when I see this it's just kinda weird, the 90s snake pit crowds really looked different...or maybe it's the city who knows.
@Jumpy Cat BS, they play that part at the end as well. Metallica just likes to start half of their setlist with pre-recorded intros now. A bit annoying, but it's what it is.
Ummm alright. I’m a big fan but I’m very critical of the cringe they can muster up sometimes. They banged this out just fine. Props to Rob. Everyone’s been screaming about how they wish they would use Rob more and they go and play Orion and Cthulhu in the first 2 shows
@@sirotahaggen lulu, st anger snare, Lars playing certain songs in a weird way live, always being on talk shows with people who hate metallicas core audience (regular people), justice bass. All cringeworthy but nothing egregiously bad. Are you one of those people who sees no wrong or nothing worth slight criticism in anything they do?
@@Huddle_House56 Certainly not. I do criticize plenty, but for me as of late it stems from unnecessary repetitiveness of longer songs that started with Lords of Summer, Kirk's laziness on the last 2 albums and Lars's limitations on the drums. But from your comment you made it sound like there was something specifically wrong or cringey in opening the shows with instrumentals. And some of the things on your list also fall under a broad category of cliché complaints that metallica fans born after 1980 come to learn to repeat from the prior generation, rather than from personal experience e.i: if you are 13-15 yrs old you aren't likely to pick up on the lack of bass on AJFA on your own if you're just discovering it late in the 90s without reading up on popular reviews, nor are you gonna learn to whine about selling out with the Black album/napster lawsuit or image changes and haircuts...
@@sirotahaggen no we have the same complaints trust me. And the bass thing I knew about. It was jarring after hearing the thickness of the puppets tone. And I’ve come to learn that Lars was right about the Napster thing. He helped a lot of up and coming artists with that.

To open the first show with "Orion" and this show with "Call of Ktulu"... Oh my god, dude. The most refreshing setlists in their careers.
Such a flex.

James is looking great. He's slimmed down alot from what he was a few years ago. He's about the same size as he was during the black album era
Noticed he’s moving around with a bit of agility for a man aged by the road and all that comes with it as much as he is.

I love ktulu but I don't understand why they use a intro tape here. They should play the clean part, it's part of the magic
