Must've been fate. ;) ~

I had those 2 or 3 lines from "School Hard" stuck in my mind for quite a few years until I thought 'Hey! Maybe that internet thing can help me solve this mystery!' lol ^_^ On a different note: I'm one of those few people who actually ship Buffy alone more so than her with Angel or Spike. Not that I wasn't into both relationships, I was, but Angel was her first, crazy teenage I-can't-see-a-future-without-you love whereas Spike was her embracing her adulthood but also her the mere darkness of her craft and her (at the time) self destructive mind. That a controversial and well functioning relationship is almost impossible for her makes sense to me, just like the fact that her having kids would be a benefit to nobody but her enemies.
I thought Riley was the right one for Buffy. He accepted her as she was and she wasn't able to be with a regular guy who loved her so. I don't know if she was bored or what,but after she realized her mistake it was too late. He flew away on a helicopter and she didn't see him again until he had a wife.

That may all go away later, but at this point of the show, Spike would feed Buffy to Druscilla with a song in his heart. And more power to his, at the time, wonderfully evil ass self.
Maybe you have a wrong version. If you watch the episode, the song sounds like this in the episode, and this is the version on the buffy/angel soundtrack.
