Spare a thought for the other Bands appearing in this annual Festival, they know through experience that if there's a Japanese Green Band taking part they will "Steal The Show" - and steal it they did. In fact they wrapped it up, put a bow on it and ran away with it. What a Performance, Impeccable from start to finish! Hard to choose the highlight but "Misty" gave me that "lump in the throat" feeling - Wonderful! Once again, BRAVO AKASHIKITA!!, we've had to wait 15 years to see it but you were GREAT! Thanks as ever to Michinokugoro.
Hi Jay You are so right, start of the dream that just got better year after year after year till 2020. Will they ever return, I wonder 🤔 As you put it the crème da la crème of the tournaments and parades each year. To me, it was a great shame that the SHS’s didn’t get their moment at the Tokyo Olympics. The world was robbed of what I am sure , would have been the show stopper. I am always saying I am biased in my favourite band KT, but the standard is so high now, they could have had a mass bands performing like the 3000. The future is bright the future is Orange 🍊
