My intention in making the video was just to present both perspectives. Choosing a side would mean disregarding the other side. As much as I acknowledge the impact of cinema in normalizing certain things, it is important that art is not guided by political correctness or morality. What's important are these debates that highlight these perspectives.

Just another opinion:
I am gay. I have a problem with Dostana since I feel that it's homophobic. Instead of demanding for a ban on the movie (or) trying to mute their voice by constantly trashing it I would rather stay away from watching the movie. Free speech is the essence of any democracy. The moment you take it away from the people (especially from the artists) it's no longer a democracy. A Haider kinda guy wouldn't agree with the politics of Tashkent Files and a Padmavath kinda guy wouldn't agree with the politics of Mulk. Now, should they try to stop each other? NO!
Besides, large number of the indians have very little to no understanding of cinema in terms of its narrative, craft and aesthetics. Seldom do we find a critic like Bharadwaj Rangan. Thus the dumb audiences and critics with little to no knowledge of cinema, trying to moral police each other is the least safe space for a creative voice to exist. Can anyone, in the current political and social climate even think of making a film like Hey Ram? We sure are moving backwards in the time. The constitution doesn't give us absolute freedom of speech. But we should strive to head in that direction.

This summarises my conflicted emotions about Arjun Reddy so well. You’ve beautifully captured all the PoV’s without picking a side. I love how you’ve brought up references from Jalsa & Athadu. Tollywood has been normalising violence & misogyny since a long time. Arjun Reddy unfortunately is no exception, but because of the taking and characterisation , we end up either glorifying or bashing it.
Amma ar was realstic jalsa and khaleja were having sarcastic leads please don't generalise cringe movies with ar.
Every toxic feminist first trait is ignoring the same majority of movies slapping men too and but you choose to ignore it conveniently and majority of simps affirming it for too long . Stop being #simp boys
The intentional audio-visual distortion when Arjun injects himself some drug (3:57) brought a smile on my face. Very well edited. The way it is edited itself speaks volumes about moral concudrum this movie must have given to the viewers instead of just branding it as romantic or misogynistic.

I’ve been binge watching your videos since yesterday. I’m exploring this kind of content and creators in Telugu and it fills me with pride to see you guys doing it so we in one’s own way. Talking about this video, first of all I would like to thank you for compiling wonderful bits from various sources making it easy to the viewer to make an opinion. Creators and actors of the movie themselves have admitted that Arjun Reddy/ Kabir Singh is a flawed character and is a guy who needs to put his sh*t together. That’s it. End of the discussion. Everyone who saw the trailer would definitely get the gist of the movie. Let’s not lie to ourselves that not many people were excited about the movie after they heard Vijay Deverakonda swearing a Big Hindi bad word. I even know people who googled that word after the hype. It’s alright but you have to make a choice if you want to watch that movie or not. If one is getting influenced by a 2 and a half hour “entertainment “ purpose content, we should think about it.
This is the first of a kind that I'm witnessing, a morally balanced video essay with a telugu film at its subject, and dealing with a very sensitive issue. I can only imagine your enormous effort in creating this beautiful piece of work, your passion is literally tangible. This should be watched by more and more people. Keep creating more of these.

I don't know why people speak for others. We are all very different, if you like something, you don't have to think if others should like it. If you don't like it, you don't have to think that others might like it and get wrongly influenced by it.
You don't have to approximate what masses might thing about a movie, if you are not one of them🙂.

Watching this after animal trailer dropped. Animal will be more controversial topic to discuss 😅😅. Instead of slapping the trailer has many controversial things lets see what happens.
People often forget that in arjun reddy and kabir singh preethi is the first one to slap arjun/kabir but noone questions about that everyone is questioning why kabir/arjun slapped preethi and why there is music played in the background when he slapped her.
As a individual you should have the thought process & sensibility on what to take from a movie and what not to take. I feel like cinematic experience is more of entertainment purpose not to get influenced from main lead character.
For example we have balayya he murders many goons in the movies with or without purpose that doesn't mean that everyone is getting influenced. Critics should realise that audiences are not that dumb to get influenced by a movie nowadays that easily.
