    The Cerave Smoothing Cream has really improved the chicken skin on my neck. I tried Ameliorate but it was too harsh. The Cerave hasn’t caused any problems and has quickly improved the texture on my neck.

    Thanks for the great information. Love your point about getting all the makeup off. My 30+ daughter has finally got her acne under control in part due to the right doctor and a microfiber cloth. I challenged her to clean her skin the usual way and then with just some warm water use the cloth. The amount of makeup that was on the cloth was amazing. She now swears by it. By the way, the bundle of cloths from the Dollar store work just as well as the expensive ones in the cosmetic department.

    Yeah I touch my face a lot, as well. Also, when using my laptop on a slightly lower surface, I support my chin with my left hand yes, but also put my left elbow on my knee. I am noticing a bumpy texture on my left knee area only, due to this pressure. It looks a little like KP. Luckily, I brush or loofah my body everyday, wash with Salicylic acid, so it doesn't get out of control. Plus, I tried using kerasal on my knees and elbows after a shower and it worked like magic. Use it on your feet, hands, elbows and knee area, or any area that you have rough and bumpy skin; it works so well. Obviously, make sure you are not sensitive to high levels of salicylic acid and urea.

      Helen Inman Wow, lucky you 💖 I think you’re doing great if your skin has no probs with your routine😃 You could add a hyaluronic serum before your moisturiser- indeed labs? Hado Labo? Look for a recommendation on here, Nadine 🥰 also Caroline Hirons
      (It’s kind of complicated but basically you need to use a hyaluronic with ‘multiple molecular weights’ eek 😬 think that’s the right term... what it means is that it will not draw moisture from deeper layers of skin, doing damage in the long term)
      I use loads of beauty pie... You might not want that level of commitment but I love it😍

      Jessica Mowat i usually use a separate spf and my foundation has spf in it and have no issues. However, doing this doesn’t increase the amount of spf protection you get. Whichever number is higher, that’s the protection you’re getting. So I always make sure my separate spf is the higher one so I know i’m getting the proper protection.

The application is cakey - I needed to add oil because not emollient enough and couldn't spread it - and I had an allergic reaction around my eyes - dermatitis. Forgot to mention it increased the appearance on my pores!!! After one week of trying all the tips and tricks including those from IT themselves, I give up. I'm really disappointed.

    • @michellewooldridge3683
      @michellewooldridge3683 4 года назад

      Rachel Ellen the hyaluronic acid is the beauty pie one Nadine recommended so it’s not that - the other products are garden of wisdom vitamin c and IT cosmetics cc cream - it might be the cc cream causing the problem
      I tried it this morning with a different foundation ( Bareminerals complexion rescue)and it was fine - so guessing it’s the IT cosmetics cc cream sadly, as I like that a lot 🙄😬

    • @clampotaku22

      Michelle Wooldridge I wonder what is in the vitamin c. Sometimes they are based in silicone so then they wouldn’t go with the makeup. I have it cosmetics cc cream too and I love it! Dear Nadine ,
    I think you are extremely honest and I want to ask you a question about skin . What can be done to thin thick skin of the nose ( fleshy part) for combination skin. I have been told that there is only one way to thin the skin and that is to take accutane so that the sebum production diminished over s period of 6 to 8 months which would reduce the thickness of the skin and it will help alot in reducing the thickness of the skin .
    However the side effects are too much to go through I have also been told that Tretinonin 1% used daily over a period of time on the fleshy area can help .
    However it's quite difficult to really find anything that really works externally to reduce the sebum production and to some extent reduces the thickness of skin prior to having a rhinoplasty to get s better result .
    This concern has to the best of my knowledge never been addressed by any dermatologist in any detail at all .

    • @NadineBaggott
      @NadineBaggott  4 года назад +1

      Tonya Niazi yes Roaccutane would work but so would a resurfacing laser like Fraxel and deep peels with TCA - all need to be done by a doctor/derm x

      @@NadineBaggott thank you so much for your reply it's difficult to find a service like this in London who would only treat the skin of the nose as its offered as a full face or face and neck service . Hi Nadine. I recently subscribed and love your content. Right at the end of the video you mentioned tiny bumps on cheeks and around the face from what you think is caused by long wearing foundation. I'm 52 and have those. I've always " looked after " my skin well but I'm oily and have had these for a few years now. I don't use anything that ends in "cone" except in my foundations - which is silicone free but always has 1 or 2 cones as hard as I try. I wear Koh Gen Do Aqua and Tom Ford traceless stick foundation. For years I only wore Trish Mcenvoy tinted moisturizer but switched about 2 years ago when she dropped it from the line. These foundations are better but I'm wondering if that's when the bumps came. Hey I'm 52 and my memory is shot so I can't be 100% sure of timeline . Some days there are worse than others I think. What are they called and can I get rid of them. Thank you

      Zoé Grant I get these too from my makeup. The way that works for me if making sure I clean my face properly with a gentle gel cleanser with a micro fibre cloth, and applying the ordinary 30% AHA 2% BHA solution once a week. After cleansing, leave on for 10 mins then wash it off. Continue skincare regime. This works for me. Hope it helps x

      Zoé Grant yes I keep all my products very simple and gentle too so before I used the ordinary product, I thought it would be super harsh for my skin! But surprisingly, it was a lot more gentle than most other exfoliants I’ve tried! Slight tingle the first time I used it but only for a couple of seconds. However, the result was astounding! Super smooth, no redness like normal and the best thing was it STAYS like that until it needs done again the following week despite wearing makeup all the time. Hope it works for you x

      A Brecknell Paula’s Choice Ultra Light Super Concentrate AntioxidantSerum. It’s a lovely light serum that sinks into the skin with many good ingredients.

    Can anyone help my with serums. There are so many out there at the moment and I have no idea what to use. I'm early 30's with combination skin. Get the odd breakout and have slight fine lines. What should i be using???

      Michele Buy it depends if you’re getting your actives elsewhere. If you’re doing a vitamin A derivative at night in a cream then perhaps look for a nice hyaluronic acid serum; if you’re not, then use a nightly serum with those actives. l think a niacinamide product is amazing to balance combi skin. In the day you might like to think of antioxidants and/or again h acid. All under your sunscreen of course.

      @@logiclanguagelearningFrench I depends on your skin and what your issues if any are. I would say everyone can benefit from a hylauronic acid serum. I'm a lot older than you but I use cerave hydrating cleanser in morning vit c serum mixed with hylauronic acid and moisturiser followed by spf and it works great. I've found keeping it simple is best otherwise you get overwhelmed.

      @@logiclanguagelearningFrench its the active ingredients that confuse me the most. As a 33 hesr old with comb skin I have no idea what I need. I want to help the pores around my nose as that's where I get most oily. Bit also want to help fine lines

    Would you reccommend the Vitamin C serum from The Inkey List? I know you love The Ordinary one but I'm not a fan of its gritty texture. Wondering if the Inkey Lists one is any smoother in texture?

      Alex Hurley Garden of Wisdom’s Vitamin C is good. 23% + Ferulic.

      Alex Hurley if it helps Alex, I found the Inkey List’s Vit C in a tube too thick. They recommend to use it with some Hyaluronic Acid. Eucerin do a good vitamin c which lasts 2 weeks; you press the bottom and the vit c mixes with the solution. I want to try this.

      @@65NART ah really, I ordered The Inkey List Vitamin C this morning after somebody recommended it to me, I'll see how it is but I'll definitely try mixing it with some H.A. see if that makes it any better! Thank you for the heads up!😀

      I use the Inky Vitamin C . It very smooth and has a siliconey feel so I only use it at night. I have tried the gritty Ordinary one in the past and stopped using it for that reason. This one is nothing like it in texture. Hope this helps.
