I always thought the blast beats in Wintersun's music felt like a storm. But holy shit if there's any piece of music that sounds like a storm. It's this track... There's no better way to ilustrate a storm with music than this song. And yet it's so damn emotional. Jari truely is so damn good at creating landscapes with sound.
man I wish i had that reaction to silver leaves...for me it was the least good song on the album :( Good song, just not what I wanted. Loved the rest though
@@jeeve12 Had a similar experience at first, but it grew on me a lot. I guess it all had to do with my expectations, the songs I was super hyped about (way of the fire and silver leaves) felt a bit "meh" at first and I absolutely loved the other ones especially Storm which i didn't like at all when I first heard that crappy live recording years ago. After listening to the whole album for weaks straight though I can't really pick a favorite anymore, it keeps changing depending on my mood. I love them all somewhat equally now for various reasons.
@@jeeve12It was a lackluster for me in the beginning, but it grew on me too and now I just can’t get enough of it. I listen to it multiple times a day. Give isolated orchestration track a try, you’ll be able to notice subtle beautiful details easier.
Further recommendations for the future Insomnium reactions: Once you get into the Argent Moon EP, the order is: The Conjurer, The Reticent, The Antagonist and The Wanderer. But pretty much every one of their songs is amazing, so whichever you'll react to, it'll be a good time! Plus, many of their videos will give you some beautiful Finnish scenery.
Love your beautiful, emotional reactions ...the new wintersun album is not only a "new Metal Album" it is EPIC...thanks for that and greetings from Germany! Metal for life....metal fan since 1979....60 next year!😉
Hi April once again great reaction to storm unfortunately the album is almost considering there is only six songs total but I think I heard somewhere jari is working on a new album but only TIME will tell lol . Wintersun Alex ❄️❤️
Time I and Time II is one. It's a 50 minute part album, so it's long enough. Jari worked on 4-5 albums simultaneously with Time II, so don't worry. He has a lot in the works.
Thanks for another great reaction! What an amazing piece of music, and it's so good to have ALL the Time, at long last. If you're interested in checking out the "Canadian Wintersun", Atavistia's first albums are very much in the same vein. And, their vocalist is Finnish as well... And for more Finnish bands, Insomnium and Amorphis are amazing and I'd certainly love to hear your thoughts on them if you haven't yet listened to them.
Thank you for the recommendations, these are all new to me so I will add them to the list! :D How does one country produce so much amazing music? Finland seems awesome!
@@AbsoluteApril Must be something in our water.. Haha First song recommendations from the bands I mentioned: Atavistia - One Within the Sun Amorphis - Death of a King Insomnium - While We Sleep (or Pale Morning Star)
@@ZonZorZerx Won't argue with that. That said, I like their music as well. Writing Wintersun-like music is by no means an easy feat. Personally, I wouldn't mind seeing more bands in the 'Time metal' -genre.

This song always takes my breath away by it's fury and beauty
I cant wait for your reaction to silver leaves. I was balling. NIAGRA FUCKING FALLS.

The intro would be a perfect fit for Marty Friedman's Scenes.

Yay for more "packages" at 18:35 😂 so excited for your Silver Leaves reaction!
I'm glad you have the package. There are many things to love... I just love Jari's stuff and have for a long time. It never gets old for me

First song recommendations from the bands I mentioned:
Atavistia - One Within the Sun
Amorphis - Death of a King
Insomnium - While We Sleep (or Pale Morning Star)
Atavistia is just a cheap rip-off band. Terrible compared to Wintersun.
@@metalfan9000 One Within the Sun is a blatant rip-off of Wintersun
