I've watched all the episodes of your trip along the inland waterway and really enjoyed them all. As for your wonderful brother I say who needs "The Boss and Neil Young" when you've got him. Lets all keep Rockin in the Free World.
I flew CH-53E Super Stallion helicopter from Marine home base New River NC. When I got out, I bought a Rinker 26Ft mid-cabin cruiser “Cleared Hot” and lived in Wilmington/Wrightsville Beach. We had so much fun! mid 90s. Just discovered your videos and am really enjoying them!
I am really learning a lot from these videos. Clearly, fuel expenditure is a huge issue and it is interesting to hear you talk about managing the RPMs rather than the speed.
Speed will vary depending on conditions like wind and current. It’s not uncommon to have a 2-3 MPH difference in speed due to those variables. However motor RPM equates to fuel burn and is generally consistent unless the boats bottom is heavily fouled with growth.
My boat is in Safe Harbor South Harbor Village as well... make sure you goto Joseph's next time on your way back in the condos... best in the area! Happy and Safe Travels. You definitely missed out on Provisions... the docks to the right are public as well.. Easy does it and you can do it!
Enjoyed the trip down. Been following along. Welcome to Safe Harbor South Harbor Village at Southport NC. Hope you enjoyed your stay. We keep our boat there - Our Treasure. Yes, the Cape Fear is a tough run on some days. Safe travels. Looking forward to your next video. Cheers
Cool engine for the mud boat is called a keelkool and that also is a self contained unit, for strictly antifreeze, day tank just to have above the keels to drain out the air,,
HOT DAMN...a musical trip down my memory lane - thanks dudes...totally enjoyed the trip [I was singing along at some points when rewinding the video]! And not a glassy eye in sight either. Definitely gonna miss Brian in your videos - any plans for joining up again?! Anyhoo...I see there's still a fair share of 'jackaloons' trying to play captain - they never cease to amaze in the stupid department! Safe travels - be well.
The song that wasn't played that night was "one bourbon, one bourbon, one beer". We had no scotch! Captain Tom is always at the top of his game. Not saying this just because he's my brother. He's calm (but not careless), confident (but not cocky), and able to handle any and every situation. He's got experience and he's always prepared. You're always in good hands on his boat.
@@bdemarzo AGREED about your Brother's 'captain skills' - definitely in contrast to some of those jackaloons waking their way to stupidville. Anyhoo...a BIG George Thorogood fan myself...saw the 'Bad To the Bone' dude in several live concerts back in the 80's [my wild and woolly days when I didn't drink alone and should've]. George sure knows how to make that Gibson ES sing! Take care - be well. Cheers...
Continue to enjoy your channel and this series. It would be interesting to see the process you go through to plan a leg of the trip. What are the resources? How do you use GPS and plot out your trip. Thank you
Thanks for watching! Not sure if you saw the first video of the series that goes into my planning and prep. I explain some resources used. You can find it here: ruclips.net/video/UA95iOV6Ezw/видео.html
Your brother is pretty good, and nice that he came along.. Wondering if gettin food has been difficult along the way as you have no land transportation ?
We have been stocked pretty good so far since leaving NY. Have been going out to eat several nights. I go provisioning at my next stop in Myrtle thanks to a friend who lives there. That’s coming up in the next episode!
Haha Cap..... I caught you perusing this guys channel such as myself. I have caught many a red drum from the waters of Swansboro. Well I saw ya here so thought I would say hello El Cap-i-tan. 🐟🐟🐟
Matey would have done fine but it’s tough to stop to walk him multiple times a day while underway. He doesn’t take to doing his business on the boat very well.
This is awesome news 2 brother on a boat making memories that you will never forget, great job guys

For sake of time I edited out some songs. Perhaps I should release a complete unedited Brian unplugged video!
@@AdventuresofHappyOurs DO IT👍👍👍
Ive passed on many but i almost want one of those little backpacker guitars now
Hi from Oak Island! I'd love to experience this someday!
You left out the mean streets of Surf City, NC!!
You guys are so, so lucky to have each other 💖 . What do you each do for work??
I’m retired from my full time career as operations manager and now work part time as charter captain. Brigitt still works as IT project manager.
Awesome

That water looks better then the Hudson cap👍🛥

love the trip , if you need another deck hand let me know lol...... I will buy the booze .
Now that’s tempting! Thanks!
Your brother needs to make me some music for my Gingle cap😁👍
Good idea! Me too! Lol
What the heck is a gingle cap??? Haha
A jingle - a short song or tune for our RUclips channels. Lol. I’m the “cap” or Captain.
@@AdventuresofHappyOurs lol a intro 😆
@@bdemarzo brian you got music skills cap and thanks for giving your brother company in this long adventure co-cap.😉👍⚓️
I recognized all the songs but the last one...
# 5:48 rig up something that will do a reverse flow junk from the heat exchanger.
That’s in the works.
All of Forest Gumps boats were called Jenny for the Bubba Gump Shrimp company if you listen in one scene he goes we have over a dozen Jenny's now.
Surprised you didn’t show Carolina beach or wrightsville beach
Hello
Enjoy your video
I am in st augustine
Have a place to dock … no power
Right in town
Thanks! We completed the trip. A few weeks behind on the videos. Really enjoyed at Augustine though! That video coming soon!
the food on site is amazing but you should of gone to oak island at the turtle
I didn’t have much time to do long side trips. One day I hope I head north again and smell the roses.
I would like too jam with your Brother LOL Not Bad.
Been a hoot watching your trip so far. Thanks for sharing. Is that a law enforcement flag on the back?
Yes that’s the blue line flag.
# 7:15 traveling on the ICWW during the weekend is a problem due to the heavy usage.
Is it good that Matey was not on this part of the trip?
Matey would have done fine but it’s tough to stop to walk him multiple times a day while underway. He doesn’t take to doing his business on the boat very well.
FAR OUT YALL
# 7:54 heavy large shipping usage.
Please get a wind sock or something to protect the microphone from the wind.
# 9:14 stayed there
could moored in SP harbor on the hook for free. You really missed out by not stopping by provisions
If that was the place I tried getting to it was too small and too windy to risk it.
@@AdventuresofHappyOurs yeah the back side of the harbor is protected. Transients overnight there all the time.
I have watched all your trips and never asked if you have a sound system, obviously you are not going to use it while making a video
We do enjoy our music on occasion but have just the original CD Sirius XM stereo in Happy Ours with a couple upgraded speakers on the bridge.
Play that guitar white boy,
Jealous
If you’re gonna do, this is a business learn to do it right use a microphone that doesn’t allow the wind
