Thank you for showing this. Out of all the places for safari in Africa I think Botswana is the most beautiful and unique with its lush water landscapes and land. This is my top bucket list place, cant wait to go.
Hi. Thanks for the kind words. We are definitely not in that league, but do appreciate you being a positive follower of the channel. Really appreciate it. Thanks for watching
Wow! This is easily one of the best videos of the Moremi I have seen. Great editing, nice choice of music nd lovely commentary.. 👌👌 I've always believed (wrongly it seems) wet season in the Moremi was not a good idea, I'm happy to admit I was wrong. Bucket list stuff here..
Wow. Thanks for the kind words. Editing does take time, but is fun. We enjoy the wet/rainy season. It does take a bit longer to travel the detours, but the storms and sunsets makes up for it. Thanks for watching
The Kingfisher is our wakeup alarm in the morning there. Really a great alarm. The fish eagle. So difficult to film when calling. But a well known call!! Thanks for watching
Amazing video and view of Botswana. Definitely going to promote tourism because here I am considering exploring myself. *side note from a foodie* please show more of your cooking and the results, would love to see and get the boy's reviews. Thanks
Thanks. This area must definitely be on your list to visit. We have been wanting to do more cooking videos out in the bush. We have a personal cooking book of nearly 100pages that have been tried and tested over years of traveling. Will definitely consider it in future videos
They were fantastic. We drive far to find them, and as we returned, they were right there. Thanks for watching, and yeah, Moremi is one of our top places in Africa
enjoyed you video. Thank you for the nice video and sharing it....we love going to Kwai.....what was your campsite number at North gate and at Mogotlo please?
Nice video! Aren't you afraid of walking in the campsite in such a wild environment? I saw a video of Edward bath who found a leopard in the campsite!!!
Caution should be taken at all times. We are currently in Mabuasehube and had leopard in our campsite twice last night. Also spotted hyena continuously. We are in the wild here and should always respect it. I won’t say we are not afraid because that will make us look and seem disrespectful towards what we do, but it does get easier the more you do it, and pre-caution is taken more easily! Thanks for watching
@@OurLifeInAfrica I'm from Europe (Dutch living in Italy) and one of my dreams is to camp like you do in the wilderness, but honestly I find it difficult to understand when a place is safe and when not. I thought fire would keep cats at a distance but then I read this is a false myth. There are no fences and sometimes there are lots of hiding places next to the campsite, such as trees or high grass. I imagine myself choosing a spot on the campsite, pulling the kitchen out, and a big lioness running towards me!!!😮😮😮 Thanks for answering my question, hopefully one day I will learn how to camp like you do.....
They are more afraid of you than you are of them.. but some areas they have become very habituated unfortunately. You can watch some of our latest Live videos on facebook. Lions even use our areas as shelter now. Some companies offer guided tours where you can camp within a group in these areas. That might be an option for you
DOes it feel safe camping in the reserve, im actually from Botswana just before Maun and the thought of sleeping amongst wild animals just terrifies me,even stopping to take a pee is a taboo for a typical motswana in our area.Anyway beautiful stuff ,still scary though.
We have gotten used to it over the years. I do remember when we started that we were a lot more “scared” if that is the right word, maybe more cautious. We have gotten better at planning and making sure everything is fine and planning ahead! Thanks for watching
Fantastic video, we thoroughly enjoyed all the content, just amazing! We are off to Moremi next week & your videos and information have helped us so much, now we cannot wait to get there! @OurLifeInAfrica may I ask what the equipment is that you film with? 🤔

Hi Martin, another lekker vid on Bots, thank you. Which Botswana travel book would you recommend for a trip like yours for a couple in a 4x4? Thanks! Ian
Hi. Depends on if you go solo or in a group. It can be done in a standard 4x4 with high clearance. Maybe a pump to deflate and inflate tyres. Thanks for watching

Wonderful episode, could I ask where you got your 3 seater camp chair as I can only find double seater in SA. Thanks

Great documentary Martin! I have a question : what is the BEST way to book a place at the campsites?
Hi. Thank you for watching.
We book through the groups that manage the campsites. For example; Third Bridge is managed by the Xomae group. They are always friendly and willing to help.
If you are not familiar with the campsites and not sure about a proper itinerary, then I would suggest booking through DriveBotswana (drivebotswana.com/) or www.bigfoottours.co.bw/

How do you Book self drive campsite in moremi game reserves
Depends on what campsite you want to stay at. Third Bridge is Xomae, Khwai is SKL and Xakanaxa and Maqwee is through Kwalate Safaris
@@OurLifeInAfrica thanks
Could have had a more exiting narrator, I would have followed
Thanks for the feedback
