Love the old style when their faces were round and cute 🥺😢
same
I like the newer one honestly.
And more brutal. That’s for sure
Both are good honestly
Old episodes were very dark, in story and also in colour tone.
I honestly don't mind the different art styles. I like both of them because it shows how the show has changed throughout the years. It shows how popular Detective Conan is to the audience.
100% agree. No need to hate one, just because you like the other one better. I also like them both.
@@CanComp yeah they're both good. And they remained faithful to the original well also updating it.
Exactly! Like I keep telling the people around me that you can’t expect things to stay the same all the time especially for long running and on going animes like Conan, right with you!
In the Original Conan looked more like a child than in the 2016 remake.
When someone dies in the older version, you can really feel a chill running down your spine because of the darker artstyle.
A great deal of that sensation came from the awful telecine machines they used in the '90s, that ruined the contrast and the colors of the prints.
The recent remasters that are in Crunchyroll and the Japanese Netflix give a much better look to the original intention (even if I think that the saturation is a bit too much sometimes).
The original is better than the remake cause it really tells you how old the anime is and that is what's important
why does the age of the anime matter? i personally like both evenly
@@久-q1w because animation has gotten lazier in some studios
@@masatonagai8966lol wouldn’t it be the opposite for conan? although the style has changed, the animation is great if you watch the right scenes. i saw the scarlet bullet the other day, and when they want to, TMS can animate really well
@@masatonagai8966 other than that, i think the animation for conan has remained mostly smooth
@@久-q1w they can animate well but this scene isn’t animated well, there is hardly any movement compared to the original. I also don’t recall saying this studio in particular had bad animation overall, cel is just way more fresh and fluid than some of the new conan episodes, but it’s still alright
LOL. I prefer the older version 😂
Me to
The older version the voice actually seemed that of a child more
@@AnimeStarGurudayal all of their voices were perfect and more suitable for their characters in the early days as the voice actors were younger themselves
yassss

0:25 the remake version looks more calm and collected while the older version has more emotion in 👀
I forgot where it is, but I do know that it’s somewhere around the 1000th episode
The 1000th one is a remake of the moonlight sonata
Well the original is traditionally animated, the remake is digital, they are bound to be different. 😅
I have to admit I prefer the old Conan. Not because of animations, because the new one looks awesome. But the general type of story telling and the expressions. Like, in the old episodes the cast had so many different and funny faces that really made me into it. Nowadays the series is more series and they barely have iconic face expressions.
Am I the only one who prefers the remake? I love how much more thought they put into the lines now that they're more experienced and done it before. Like when Ran says, "Whos this child?" before she approaches him. And the part where people complain he sounds too adult in the remake, it honestly makes sense because he just became a child. It's hard to transition so him retaining that mature voice actually fits the narrative of him not being used to the idea that he's a child, much less in face with his childhood love interest than is interrogating him so suddenly. There's charm about the original because it's the original but I appreciate the remake and prefer how more in depth it gives, especially as a more canonical entry to the franchise (manga)
you’re not alone, i feel the same :) i also like how the newer art style has the ability to show more expression.
Me too
remake is made just like manga and so the beheaded person is not censored.
same here
I love the remake too! it's just more streamlined in general, you can really tell the VA now have solidified their knowledge of the characters and their personalities.
they chins really said ✔️
we have the same pfp
@@T0SANK 😼
;w;
@@T0SANKwell not anymore 😢
The pointy chins are a weapon on their own. They should make an anime where the pointy chins are used as weapons.
almost everybody likes the older one ❤️
same here tbh i tried to watch the remake but the voices just grated on me i cant just go from watching all those episodes hearing conan sound like a kid then all of a sudden BOOM totally different voice i just cant do it mainly because i first watched it dubbed and once i see a dubbed version of something i cant go sub and the other way around too if i watch something first sub i cant do the dub because it just wont sound right to me as im used to the voices the way they were when i see it the first time
@@jld12er30same it it was like that when I watched the Anime Black Cat. In the Sub title version Trains Voice grated on me.
I went straight to the comment section and I'm alone, wtf
You are not,here,take a like
@@nayphonenaung8446 that's so cute lmao
0:19 gotta love this classic moment
U can really see Conan blush in the Original.
"her breasts" 💀
and also there's a little blush in the remake in conan
I mean remake
I love the old version.
🤣🤣🤣
Conan looks "mature kid" in 2016 version, probably because of face shape.
He already that sharp looking face and nose as if he's still a 17 year old Shin'ichi and
Not a grade student with much rounder bigger face.
Like in Rans flashbacks where their teenage heads were on their child bodies. It looked weird.
New one: Better proportions, color, shadows. But feels static, emotionless.
Old one: Better scene animation overall, transmits emotions more naturally. But it's more cartoonish (for the good or the bad).
Their heads got bigger in the remake, hence why conan's head looks like shinichi in a child's body
lol
@@golem5908 isn't he?
@@himawari5844he is. But with Shins Teen head on a child’s body.
I think the voice actors also recorded too. I prefer the older version where Conan and Ran looked more adorable and young.
The older one is cuteeeeee
0:30 The way they both shouted the name at the same time ✨✨
I edited the scene to match the voices
I like the old art style's proportion, made Conan look cuter but the new one really worked in favour for the adult cast, and since most of the cast are gonna be adult including cases I can see why they went with it, what I don't understand is why they didn't keep the round style for children T^T giving Conan that sharp chin really broke his shape appeal, it's like they wanted to age Conan up but keep his height the same, what's worst is the fact that they've been widening Conan's face T^T it wouldn't be that obvious in the old style but thanks to that killer chin it looks freaking obvious 😤
THISS. it looks like shinichis head was just stuck onto a child’s body 😭 and why does it just keep widening more and more
Sobbing at how funny this comment is and also how true it is
you couldn't have phrased it better T^T
The new style reminds of Austin Hourigan’s (Game Theorist RUclips content creator) stock image of his adult head photoshopped on the body of him as a child. That he used in his videos.
Old version is so cute 🥰.My favorite.
It’s so weird that the timing is out of sync save for a few lines. Creepy.
yeah! I did my best to sync the videos
the colors in 90s anime is so much prettier think ugh i love 90s anime so much
The older version has more movement given it’s also cel animation
lol the old one art style look better with the circle while the remake is a triangle
Old version for me - new version feels like a slice of life shonen or something cuz of the colors while the old is a little saturated and the colors don’t stand out which fits with mystery vibes
The old one is goofy ah while the new one is more serious with all the expressions and sharp defined faces
Miss old vibe style more scary and dark
For some reason I like so much when they say "Conan" at the same time
0:21 look at the conan face and eyes in original anime lol
Omg
LOL WH
LMAO RAN'S FACE IN THE REMAKE
Conan in remake giving side eye.
The new one made the characters faces longer / sharper.
Makes Conan less adorable
I prefer the old version.
I grew up watching detective conan older version so i like the older version more.
I know it's probably because I started watching Conan in the late 90s when it came out in Germany. But I prefere the 96 version and animation style.
they faces really said 👁✔️👁
Colours are more vibrant which isn’t suited to the theme, there are less curves.
Although the new one obviously has better graphics, it's the faces for me, I just love the old one so much because of the art style, animation, and the overall cuteness (yet this anime has nothing to do with being cute)🤣
How beautiful the colors of 2016 are, there is much more contrast & saturation 🥰
In all cases, it is sweet, but the quality increases the sweetness and luxury
I like how they both said Conan at the same time lol
why do you have to prefer something, i'm just absolutely glad that the remake has not changed the artstyle at all, because thats what i missed in sailor moon's newer version for example... the remake here is very well executed, i don't prefer any as i like them both equally, because the remake is absolutely worth called well done!!!
Agreed
How he got his head bump is still mystery
Old version Forever 💯🔝
Everything old is gold
But remake version is sharp edge looks good
OG conan for me
I like the newer animation, it's more realistic, and the coloring is a lot cleaner and brighter. Although I miss having more canon content. Lately the new content is mostly filler and the plot has been only slowly inching forwards. The filler episodes aren't bad though. In the earlier seasons, there was a lot more plot relevant content and it had me on the edge of my seat a lot more. These days all the action scenes are saved for the movies which aren't usually canon. Even so, I still enjoy all of it and I still go back and watch the classic episodes from time to time. I wish the entire show was available to watch in one place though, along with all the movies. This has been my favorite anime for years and I want to watch all of it. ^_^
I owe so much to this show. This show is part of the reason that I am who I am today. I used to sneak and watch this show late at night, which terrified me so I slept with knives under my bed. My grandmother found them and thought that I had them there for her, which doesn't make sense 🤷🏾♂️ even though I did try to kill her after the knife incident with pills and eye drops but the dose was too potent and she suspected that I put something in her pitcher of water after she started to feel sick. Before anyone judges me, she was not a very nice grandmother ( she lived 20 more years after this happened and eventually became the best grandmother that she could be. I'm happy that I didn't succeed in my attempt). Probably TMI but I confessed this to my dad and family so they know.
l have made a Video on Love Story Of Shinich kudo and Ren
1996, 200%
damn i like the older one better
Exactly
The old version is way better
I’m still baffled that this show hasn’t ended. It really makes me question whether Shinichi really does want to shut down the Black Organization and return back to normal because if he still doesn’t then why should I continue to care for this series? I was born in 1996 so that really should say something about what is wrong with this show’s health.
Ask aoyoma for still trying to keep going to make this series .I’m surprised how much energy he and the author of one piece has
It's funny, they have so many Christmas and beach episodes yet they are still in the same grade and Conan hasn't gotten any taller. It's like the pill really did kill him and this is his personal purgatory. One where he gets to reflect on life and learn to focus more on people rather than just the case.
@@demonheart13the pill put him into a coma and he’s constantly dreaming. it explains everything
@@incrediblednit didnt nobody has that much imaginationn the same goes for oliver an benji
I wish they didn't hang on side shots too long, the old style had the same nose and mouth jutting out but it wasn't as noticable because they didn't do it as often and it wasn't as sharp
I mean the animation got so better but old is gold.
i was born in 1997 and conan in1996.
im now a gaint old human and he still a child 😅.
May Allah bless you All 😁
I prefer the older version
Never forget what they took from us.
Daaaang i love the original art and voices
I like the original one ❤❤
2016❤❤❤❤❤❤
Older version is much more elegant than the modern one
Is there a way in which I can watch the new episodes as the old version?
Definitely the original.
I like the older and newer ones because the old ones nostalgic and the newer one looks pretty neat also
That's because the stories have become much scarier compared to the early days.
In the early days, it was just a detective anime, but halfway through, the public security police (kouan keisatsu), FBI, and CIA appeared, and the early illustrations no longer matched.
In particular, the Conan movie anime has changed to a level that only adults can understand, with the appearance of the FBI and CIA.
Old artstyle looks so smooth and lively
I love the 2016 version! It's the best for me lol
1996 where detective conan starts but conan/shinichi still didn't grow up
Borth Are Cute 😀
I like the new version
old is gold
i love both styles
Same, they’re different but great in their own ways
Me too
Which ep was the remake?
Remake? But why, the og style was cute and that 90s anime aesthetic was fire!
Older style is great
Ich finde beide Animationen sind auf ihre Weise gut.
Remake for 10/10 Ran's more refined and sharper unicorn horn
I love the remake version, things looks neater
I literally don't know it has a remake versionnn..... OMG
I prefer the new version. It's a lot closer to the manga and looks better in my opinion. Some of that old animation looks clunky af, you can really see they didn't have a lot of budget before dc became popular. The new one is also closer to the artstyle the manga has had for two decades now (but sure, the old animation was closer to the old manga art, but the anime took a lot longer to get closer to the manga as it's style changed later on)
Cel animation vs Digital animation really.
Original have so much more personality and quirks on display while remake looked too "measured" colors are accurate but lacked depth or warmth, cold cheap looking 3D objects didn't helped either.
Original can emote more and also more violent as well.
Music are far better on the original as well it featured some seriously jazzy stuff but newer just doesn't have or lacked those detective music.
Cel will always be king. we live in shit timeline.
@@manbeard8678 The overuse of angular chins threw me off from watching newer series, he's a child most of the time how come he suddenly looks stereotypical anime character with young adult face definition when the Cel-animation ones literally have its own signature look brought straight from the comics the recent series just looked lazy, lacked emotion and like a carbon copy of countless run of the mill high school anime character designs.
The orig is cool but i prefer the remake cuz it's like they added more color on graphics but im watching sometimes the orig
ارجوكم اريد برنامج يعرض الحلقات المعاد إنتاجها وليس الأصلية ❤🙏
honestly prefer the older version, love how the colours pop on the newer version but i prefer the artstyle of the older version the newer version artstyle seems too sharp to me if that makes sense older version looks more realistic and doesnt make conans head look like a snowcone 0:32 as an example
I wanna ask where can i watch the remake one 😅
Anime Slayer
kind of epic how the voices align when he says his name
Where do we get movies or videos of this one?
2016 Version reminds me of Rans flashbacks to when they were children. The child versions of them had their teenage heads on them. Reminds me Nintendo 64 Game 007 Goldeneye Bighead Mode.
I love both
❤😂
Do someone know where to watch the new style episodes please ? There is only the old style on Netflix and they didn't put the entire show (I like both styles just in case)
round face supremacy
his sound feel muffled than original version...
I prefer the older version like i love the round conan rather than the thin one he really looks unhealthy 😢what happened to my conan? 😭😭😭
Original version 👍👍
Perdon nadie supera a los viejos tiempos😢😢😢
Ngl, I'm super biased to the old one. I'm a sucker for 90s anime! Plus, the remake style is so... pointy. It just doesn't appeal to me.
Where can I watch detective conan remake ??
2016年の方がハッキリしてて良い👍
Оо помню время оригинала. Ток не помню как плавно перешло в ремейк. Сейчас рисовка 2016 используется по сей день.
Wait did they remake the whole anime from the start? Sorry i wanted to know cause I just started to watch Conan and I personally like the remake animation better
No, just the first episode. They remade the first episode, with more faithful to the manga version and more scenes. There are characters that appears later on the series that they inserted in the remade version such as Ai Haibara (then Shiho), the Kudo parents, Eri Kisaki and Sonoko Suzuki.
The title is Episode ONE:The Great Detective Who Turned Small.
In terms of character designs (rounded face and larger eyes), I prefer the old ones. But in animation (fluidity) and color vibrance, the new one.
