- Great medley from The Everly Brothers near the end of the 60's with a very stream of consciousness choice of tunes showcasing one of their own great singles, The Price Of Love. Enjoy!

Fascinating. Every single note is spot on, timing, pitch, volume and coloration. That´s almost impossible to do.
Al (tiny) Schneider on drums. Don and Phil, and the whole band really on top of their game. I truly miss the Everlys 💔
Bob Warford on Guitar? Bob K on bass?
I just watched this from EBI with David Steinberg. First time I have ever seen the Everly Brothers quite like this... Wow ... just W.O.W.!!!
And that Drummer!!!
Soundtrack of my youth 🎼🖤
Incredible!! There was nothing they couldn't do. They were really enjoying this.
Great performance. I saw them perform this in person in Feb. 70.
Absolutely brilliant.......blows you away watched this so many times it’s fantastic, thanks for post
Dynamite so different those guys could sing anything .loved it
The backing musicians are topnotch incredible. Their dynamics are suburb!
Wow!! Also love such performance of them. They could play anything!
Amazing and great you can see they have the Rock and Roll feeling now!
This arrangement is so good. These boys know how to rock. So talented. Awesome to watch them sing and play. Thanks for posting this vid.
Totes welks! ;-) Glad that you were able to enjoy this!
'if i were a carpenter' part of the song...can't stop replaying this.
just short phrases make me intoxicated ! Don's vocal in here is more sensual than Robert Plant. (R.P. sang same tune later)
Wld like to add.
Feel as if under a spell by magical power of Don's singing.
Such mode often happens especially when they sing some kind of tunes like 'If I were a carpenter', 'Lord of the manner' or 'Empty boxes' etc...
These songs are so addictive. Wish I could indulge myself in them forever...
How anyone can sing as fabulously as Don Everly AND look so seductively handsome is beyond me - but I’m soooooooo grateful for this video from 1969.
Holy cow... I think I've boosted the number of views for this video by about 500 in the past 4 days alone!!
I am unashamedly AWESTRUCK with the Brothers on this video...
The very last verse, Price of Love, Phil is looking at Don and he is totally enjoying himself. SoOOOOoo different from the correct harmonies we are used to, wish there was so much more of this kind of thing.
R.I.H PHIL & DON

Me too….
I love both brothers, but truth is I’m besotted by Don’s singing, Don’s smile, Don’s cool moves, Don’s fringed jacket, Don’s glossy dark hair…everything Don. Swoon.
This medley is amazing!! It’s almost as if they’re saying: “Hey, listen up - we’re more than just ‘Bye-Bye, Love’ and ‘Dream’.” Interesting selection of songs. Great percussion in this medley, too; kudos to the drummer.
It is indeed an inspired medley which they were dead-on on top of! I'd have to check it again, but I remember hearing this same medley on a live record which I remember placing about a month after this airdate, and it just wasn't the same! I don't recall if they had a different drummer on the lp, but it seems that they hit some kind of magic spark on this performance! Glad that you enjoyed it!
@@quieterrps One part of the medley I really liked was “If I Were a Carpenter”. It was just a snippet of the song but it seemed like such a good fit for them. I just found a video (actually it’s just the audio portion) from when the Everlys were the summer replacement for “The Johnny Cash Show” and Don sings the entire song. I don’t think he ever recorded it so I’m happy to have found this live version. It would be interesting to know the backstory at how they arrived at the choices of songs they used in that medley. I suspect that Don was more musically adventurous than Phil but that’s only a guess. It’s a real tour-de-force performance.
@@quieterrps I agree .. this was magic! ❤
Their drummer was Al "Tiny" Schneider. He played with the Everly's and Herb Alpert and The Walker Brothers.

"The Everly Brothers Show" (1970) is the live album you mentioned, isnt it?
Personnel (from Wiki)
Robert Knigge - bass
Sam McCue - guitar
Tiny Schneider - drums
As far as I can recognize, drummer n guitarist are the same as in this video, but different occasion.
N performance here is SUPERB, I feel too. Just priceless !!
Tks a lot again for posting !!
Mother of pearl . Incredible .
I love Phil's "upstroke" on the guitar!
We all love that!!💞
Don’t you mean Don?
Just… WOW!!
jesus GoD! amazing
This medley came out firstly on a double LP and then on CD called "The Everly Brothers Show " recorded live at the Grand Hotel on 6 February 1970. Well worth it.
Yep, in Anaheim!
HAMMER. Love it so much
Who was the drummer he was blinking brilliant
Al Schneider is the drummer
This is amazing could some one please list the songs apart the price of love that are used on this melody I can see and hear a doors influence did they ever do any albums that were more experimental than there more straight stuff
When was this recorded i wonder it’s brilliant
Somewhere between 1969-70 when the Summer replacement show that this was from, "Music Scene" aired! Glad you enjoyed it!!
I think that's Ed Shaughnessy on drums...from the Tonight Show band
On the RUclips video ‘Hippies with Money’, Don introduced the band and the drummer was the same as this one. When Don introduced the band, he named the drummer as Tiny Schneider.
Jim Morrison influence anyone
Jesus I thought I was gonna be alone thinking that but couldn’t agree more
