- Patricia Miller, the mother of "The Young and the Restless" star Billy Miller, is opening up about the tragic circumstances surrounding her son's passing.
She thanked fans for their support and corrected any misconceptions about Miller's passing in a statement that was confirmed by Fox News Digital. She also thanked fans for their support.
She penned in an open letter, "I want to personally thank the many fans and personal friends for the overwhelming amount of love, prayers, and condolences sent to me and my family on the devastating death of my beautiful son BJ - Billy Miller."
"He fought a long, hard, and valiant battle with bipolar depression for years," the passage reads. He did everything that was in his power to bring the sickness under control. He was devoted to his loved ones, including his family, his friends, and his followers, but in the end, he was unable to overcome the effects of his illness and he passed away. It is a lie that the other causes of death have been mentioned. I really wish that they were, but the reality is that they aren't."
In conclusion, she stated, "We all loved him so very much, and we are doing our best to come to terms with our loss." No additional comment will be forthcoming from me. Thank you for all of the support and love.
Earlier this week, representatives for Miller's estate acknowledged to Fox News Digital that Miller was "struggling with manic depression when he died."In 2008, Miller was cast as Billy Abbot on the daytime soap opera "The Young and the Restless," for which he was nominated for three daytime Emmy Awards.
He was also renowned for his role as Jason Morgan/Drew Cain on the iconic ABC soap opera "General Hospital," which he played for a total of six years. Additionally, he has been in other series, such as "Ray Donovan" and Meghan Markle's show "Suits."Miller had a successful acting career, but he was also a restaurateur. For a number of years, he was the proprietor of a number of clubs and restaurants in the Los Angeles area.
Representatives for him issued a statement in which they said that he was survived by his mother Patricia, his sister Megan, his brother-in-law Ronnie, his nephew Grayson, and his niece Charley. "He also leaves behind a very large number of friends and colleagues who will miss his friendly personality, generous spirit, and genuine kindness."
The funeral has not been announced as of yet.

I have very sporadically watched Y&R over the years. Billy Miller was the only Billy Abbot that I liked.. I find it hard to watch show where you don't like anyone. That's pretty much why I stopped watching.. When they brought back Michelle Stafford back, I was done for good.

I am so so sad about his death. I have bipolar, and it is a horrible battle. I was fortunate enough to have the right medications, and I have had no episodes for quite a awhile. I remember how dark that clinical depression is. Nothing is nothing. A dark abyss, with no end. I thought if it doesn’t get better, I will have to kill myself. Never in a million years would I have thought that I would have considered suicide. It was my man, my kids, my grandkids, my meds, and my Father in heaven that kept me going. Thank you God. I pray that the family can find peace, knowing they will see him again. Heaven is for real.
I admit that I don't understand the illness. However, how was it that Miller could have had a continuous acting career and seemed to have managed his condition at the same time? Perhaps his medications stopped working at the end? Also, how could one hide this from other people??
