The first two skins that came for heros in AFK arena a few years ago, happened with the same thing where they introduce them in an event and everyone could win them, then they added more from buying, but ALSO still more in events. So usually they would put out two skins at a time for holiday events. One you could buy for 10 dollars and the other you could get through an event. Always related to the holiday and was easy to do just over the course of a week or two. AFK arena also started with the skins having stats, but quickly removed that after the first skin was released as I guess it caused a lot of drama.
I cant wait for people to cry for how hard faction trials are XD. About skins, as a dota player( not a gatcha) if this skin is just a hat with no bonuses, im fine with it. But if it gives special abilities, i would hate that cause it causes powercreep between spenders and non spenders.
Faction Trials are only easy if you have the heroes for that faction and built to some degree. Lost of FTP/low spenders don't, so they are not progressing through all of them at once.
@adrianeckert6529 The 3 new levels are dark soul levels of hard. It needs good gear and proper heroes. For example: no one will be able to complete the cursed faction trial in the global servers. Cause you guys don't have magda yet.
That Zilitu skin silhouette is giving me Maleficent vibes which would probably fit the Halloween theme... but also invite a lawsuit from the Mouse, haha! But I think cosmetic skins are always great... unless they are in fact affecting gameplay / only available through shop purchases. Getting stuff through events always feels the best.
I fear for the price of the skin but it could be awesome. The extra faction trials are really big for me. It gives me a reason to build more heroes, play around with them and theory craft some setups for those heroes that I normally wouldnt use. Big QoL on other stuff aswell. So big thumbs up for this patch (and for making the video ofc)!
If they learn anything from raid, then they will know that no one buys expensive skins in games like this. So they had better keep the price low if they want to make any sales at all
I know some games give you something like, 1-5% extra stats for using skins, which is... whatever. It's not a massive amount that's going to change your gameplay. But, you're right. I think it's a good idea to at least let people earn the first one through the event. I think, instead of giving it stats, they should just include a hero shard with the skin for ascension, but that's just my opinion. As long as they don't start giving all the female characters weeb bait beach day bikini skins like every other gacha, it's fine lol
My only guess, so far, is the Skin is a Maleficent lookalike. As for the Halloween themed concept, I threw a suggestion their way for a Jack O'Lantern looking champ, a Black Cat Skinwalker Cat Person type champ, and I heard rumor that there's going to be another Vampire coming soon. There's already 3 Werewolves, but no She/Female/Lady Werewolf - yet. And then as for the Seven Deadly Sins Demons a "Pride" defender and a" Vanity" healer would be good additions. And someone relayed a comment to me about a " Sloth" as a slow champ and an Envy as a Poison champ. A stereotypical Witch skin for Morrighan or another Healer may be a good possibility. And we already have a Ghost Pirate. A Mermaid and the Other merfolk that are like Sharks and a Piranha. Giving Lightlocke a Merlin the Magician look, maybe a possible option but there's already wizards in the game. Or, what I would like to see is a Wild West Theme skin for Morene. Or just a New character that's a Cowgirl or Cowboy Outlaw.
New stages in faction trials are pretty cool, helps speed up the process in leveling up Hyperion. Loves to see the tricks and tips in each faction from you @MaBucket

I think the skin might indeed be a Dracula, gargoyle or maleficent type skin. Curious if they would implement the "quick/skip" option into raids as well, the power saving mode is great at the moment though. Skipping the whole auto-fight process would be even better, it'll speed up the game, but that might defeat the purpose of the game?
I do not like adding extra/additional stats to a cosmetic skin that will uniquely differentiate it from the original. Having said that, i am not opposed to the skin granting them another faction to benefit from faction bonuses like ajax, but only one. Like if they will make the skin look like a vampire like volka, then the zilitu skin may add her to the nightmare faction. Heroes in this game do have dual factions, so it’s not that strange. In any case, i hope it’s not a pay wall event.
Skins are a fun addition to the game, but putting extra stats on them would be really disappointing. Unless it will be available to everyone through in game events. Some kind of fuse event to gather the pieces for the skin would be fun
They should rly not touch Void, getting Elite void is great idea but making other easier dumb. Game is kinda already easy(on its own way), and making end game content easier Is in my opinion dumb. We love challanges and hard fights, what point of game if we gett everything done within first 2-3 months. They should change NM void rewards and we should get 100% alwyas exlusive artifacts from NM void. Also we need change and fix for top nm3 and 4 chests. Great content!
I played a gasha where skin gave an extra trait or talent. Liked the system cause it wasnt bad to have dual skins for that character. Otherwise in the future its useless to pull a dupe skin.
The higher sell prices haven't hit, and the existing gold is garbage. Im extremely picky on my gear that i uograde, but having to waste almost 1000 energy to get 634k gold (with reve in gold raid) out of 25 runs may get 1 peice completely leved up to 16. I dont mind spending a but of money, but its a conplete waste. I dont think we need more ways to get gold, i think the rewards should be higher. Obviously there's a balance making it rare enough that you have to be wise with your spending, and using 3 days worth of energy if you're F2P to upgrade a single peice. I know if i was 100% F2P i wouldve quit just for that
I think it would be cool if they added some stats with new skins. From a consumer standpoint it would suck but from a business standpoint it would be pretty profitable too.

Skins are normal. Most of the gacha games i played are purely for cosmetics and its not a bad thing wether you can get it f2p or exclusively for spenders. But what i'm worried about is its Moonton and only them who i know can do this in my experience. Most gacha I played still not neglecting future character designs but moneyton is not. I'll bet the next future hero's character design with be bland not so detailed with monotone-ish color scheme. In short, boring design to lure the players buy their skins. It's a moonton thing. They even did downgrading some cool looking designed old heroes just to sell their skins.
I feel like the skin will be 19.99 US dollar like other gotcha skins and in other game it will most likely give 5% attack bonus with 10% crit rate or 5% HP
Skins would be great if they arent going to be a thing that you just buy if you want it. It would be better if it were part of the summoning banners and you would have a chance to get the skin, just so that the game would not revolve around skins. Also, I dont see the point of skins if they are just for design, would be nice if it could come with a special perk or talent . I just hope skins arent too common like in mobile legends considering they are from the same producers. 🙏

Umm my faction trial is insane hard… as a low spender… my infernal faction is autumn after I fused my AOE archer Captain Hook. Lol

for my experience, skins do provide stats, but it's nothing game breaking. It's really there just to make your character pretty.

I love the new faction stages and building champs I wouldn’t otherwise build but we need more gear and artifact slots with it.
Getting gear is the easy part. Getting half decent gear is hard. Getting half decent substat rolls is even harder.

As for the skins. Mlbb moontons other game only adds +8 attack or hp depending if they dmg and tank. So i dont think they will do it.
I hope they just make these cosmetics and not mess with balance by having stats tied to skin.

Skins should never be part of summons. They should be rewards for events and some to buy.
