Using a 10 throw average you can dial in the Dillon powder measures in to less than one tenth of a grain. I also use a micrometer powder bar adjuster from Uniquetek and a digital scale that goes to .02 of a grain. Dillon powder measures are quite a bit more accurate than people give them credit for.
The Dillon powder measure works fine for ball powders, but not for extruded or flake powders. For the life of me, I can’t understand why they haven’t switched to a proven rotor style measure like every other vendor, rather than the overly complicated powder bar and linkage system they use. I reload precision rifle on my XL750, but use a Hornady LnL powder measure (I painted it Dilllon Blue) that is MUCH more consistent with slower burning extruded rifle powders.
I have been reloading for about 5 years now and in the beginning I could never get “what I felt” was an accurate throw. After 6 months of struggling I went with the Lee auto drum and got fantastic results so I have stayed with them. This is what works for me other than that I love my 550 their is nothing better on the market
Yes, for sure. This platform makes it very difficult to keep uploading content of this nature. RUclips is a fun hobby of mine and I like doing the how to stuff trying to leave some kind of legacy there. Good thing I’ve covered most reloading content, new reloaders are looking for and still generate a lot of watch time and questions, and makes it all worth it.
Does this guy have a Patreon or anyplace where one could ask question?? Brand new and need little guidance. Best place where i can get some basic Newby questions answered. I love this channel. Be great to get feedback from Squash Reloading (Fav)
