So, so sad that "The Firm" PANICKED after the tour in Australia and Oceania. They were extremely popular, they were excellent in every aspect of the "work"; Meghan was at ease very quickly because of her maturity as a 36 years-old woman, her communication skills, and her life experience, which included previous activism work with the UN and with Charity organizations, and of course her experience of being in the public eye as an actress. So Harry and Meghan were working hard and were very good at it. And they were very, very popular. They could have been such assets for the Monarchy. But, as Piers Morgan himself admitted, their popularity "may be a problem". This "problem" could have been dealt with so much differently, instead of the palace intrigues that happened after that, the planting of false stories (the tiara, the "Meghan made Kate cry", and the like). I'm not saying that Meghan and Harry did everything perfectly, but some very shady stuff happened. And make no mistake about it, there's a lot we don't know. I wish "The Firm" would have accepted the multiple offers of Harry and Meghan to go live elsewhere in the Commonwealth, so they would be less visible in the British Press. I'm puzzled at why "The Firm" refused this solution. I don't get it. On another subject... I don't fault William for his words of caution to Harry. Very understandable. But I don't fault Harry either for being angry about it... he and Meghan knew themselves and each other very well; they were already in their thirties and had some experience in life. Moreover, it has to be said that they were dreaming about having children and the biological clock was already clicking for Meghan who was 36 years old. They could NOT know if it would be easy to become pregnant... sometimes there are problems... So they felt they didn't have that much time.
