Do you have to buy the test card? And does this just auto calibrate the camera's +- micro adjustment which you can do yourself manually, or does it adjust it at different distances over different focal lengths? It isn't clear exactly what this software does.
Hi Guys, It's been a few years now that Ive been using FoCal and we have seen many changes, however... Feedback.... You need to do an updated video on the new software versions please in particular FoCal 3.10 MR2 (Mac) (Win)
Hi. It depends on the camera. If you're using Nikon then FoCal will tell you the shutter count for all cameras. For Canon it's a little more complicated - shutter count is reported for all cameras from the 5D Mark II (2008) through to the 5DS/R (2015). Later cameras do not report the shutter count through any "safe" means*, and very early cameras (1D Mark III/ 1Ds Mark III) just don't support the feature at all. (* There are utilities available which will supposedly report the shutter count, but the techniques used to retrieve the information we consider too risky to implement as it involves directly accessing camera memory using completely undocumented functionality)

Looks interesting 👌🏻
Can I check the number of shutter actuations using FoCal?
