Oh the memories of me back in 1998 playing this when I was 7 years old! I'm 31 now, Man I feel old. Hard to believe it's been 24 years since then. Never had this game but instead used to rent it. I still have my old N64 to this day but still don't have this game. I should buy a copy off eBay.
I'm 40 and been playing since snes kart. Playing it now with Mario kart 8 with my wife and kids. Still having a Blast. Especially taking first place. Lol
All I can know it sound much closer to original than MK7 and MK8. You may think MK7 sound like original, but it just little different each other due to how sound is like in 3DS due to not being high quality
Royal Raceway has to be one of my faves! I remember going there on Time Trials just to drive off the ramp and purposely either smash into the hills or even steer as far to the sides as possible.
As a kid I loved the melody so much. As an adult I seem to be listening deeper, and now it's the bass. I call the Synth Bass a lost instrument, so aesthetic in how it's used, and it's essential for supporting this theme's super iconic melody.
There's something cool about the music of this game in that it's fun and fast paced, but not frantic, hectic, or even too adrenaline pumping. It invokes more feeling of cruising at a steady pace and being consistent. If you're in the lead, being aware of obstacles infront and shells behind to keep it that way. Or if you're behind not wasting your shots and looking for openings to overtake.
Literally _The_ Mario Kart song of all time, can't think of any MK game that had a more memorable original theme than this one (except for the Rainbow Roads by proxy)
This became my favorite song in the game realizing there's the entire beat I don't think I ever noticed/paid attention to while playing on a square TV.
Don't lie, you felt like a badass going off the jump on Royal Raceway, and probably went apecrap when you saw Peach's Castle from Super Mario 64 as well.
Did anyone just be Bowser and use a Star item to fling the AI players off and out of bounce from Luigi Raceway there be stuck there till your close enough for them to respond? Cause I did that for when I was a kid, lol.
lol really weird but as a kid I always thought 0:16 sounded like a toilet flushing, with that first drum hit being the flush lever and then the drums after being the water making noise as it goes down.
This might be a little controversial, just because this is a big track theme. Now, I do like its funky beat, its swingy melody and the part with the descending chord in the B section, but, I don't know, I feel like this series gets way better with its music, and this one just has some really weak elements, the C section? (0:31) Who cares about that part? Completely unmemorable, the bass pattern never EVER changes, and it's cool, I get the repetitiveness was a purposeful choice, but it just drones on for so long
Honestly one of the most memorable songs in the entire Mario Kart series.
Amen.
the second one after shroom ridge

Ah yes, friendships that ran out of money because of this game.

This song played also in Mario Kart Wii where it was the N64 Mario Raceway.

No shit, Sherlock!
Naw really?

Just like Bomberman 64, that synth bass is so much better directly ripped in this game, so crisp, can't get enough of it.
Yay Royal Raceway, my fav track.
I love the bass in this track!

I will always appreciate when they upload OSTs and indicate all tracks/maps that use the corresponding track and not just like the first one
Wasn't expecting to hear this at Super Nintendo World! Totally blew my mind, but distracted me cause I was on the Mario kart ride
This is perfect to drive on the interstate to

Your channel is so awesome Sir Neutri!
THANKS!!! Having people like you in my channel really helps me to continue uploading videos!
God I loved this game as a kid. 😂
POV: You playing Mud Bath In Nfs Most wanted 2012 3 laps
I haven’t heard this in years. It really sounds like something out of a Sonic game.
I remember when this came out. I got it for Christmas, this wcw vs world tour and Golden eye. 36 years old time flys. Keep rocking these games forever
I hear the boosting and drifting noises in my head... Not to mention the characters voices lol
I love the bass used in most of these themes🔥
The fact that they will likely never bring back Wario Stadium will never not be funny
My dad held a world record on this game, and him and I used to play this course, he didn’t go easy on me.
which course of the 4 ? royal raceway ? mario raceway ? luigi raceway ? wario satdium ? cause they all have this music
Which was it? Proof or it didn't happen.
I would shit on your dad in this game
What world record?
FR?!?? That's crazy, if true!
This is the first song that pops into my head when I think of Mario Kart. It's so iconic!
As a kid I loved the melody so much.
As an adult I seem to be listening deeper, and now it's the bass. I call the Synth Bass a lost instrument, so aesthetic in how it's used, and it's essential for supporting this theme's super iconic melody.
I always watched the map to see if someone fell-down during the jump over to the other side (Wario Stadium)

MARIO,LUIGI AND PEACH RACES
This is nostalgic! I love it.
"Wahhhhhhhhhhh!" - Wario every 5 seconds
This became my favorite song in the game realizing there's the entire beat I don't think I ever noticed/paid attention to while playing on a square TV.
00:04 "I'm here to beat them up"
Wario Stadium should've had Choco Mountain's theme.
que jogo nostalgico, a briga na hora do multplayer era garantida 😊😂😆
The melody sounds like Wacky Workbench Past from Sonic CD
Yoooo! Super iconic, accutally this might be no.2 before Coconut Mall!!
"Yeah! Ha-ha-haaaaa!"
-Mario.
Its been 22 years since I played this. I was 15.
My favorite music in the game
If it had a different sound font it would sound like double dash
There's so much going on at once, it's amazing.
If ADHS was a song.
I love how the title is just the most "and Bumblebee!" shit ever
25% of the tracks
And one of the only songs to appear twice in a cup. I believe the only one is the original circuit theme?
Everyone talks about the great song, but no one talks about the fact that an SC-88 was probably used to compose the music, right?
My favorite mario kart
Royal Raceway...
I remember all the times I fell into the water on the curve before reaching the finish line.
Don't lie, you felt like a badass going off the jump on Royal Raceway, and probably went apecrap when you saw Peach's Castle from Super Mario 64 as well.
This song should play when you do some stupid sh-t IRL...
Efecto mandela, creo que muchos creiamos que eran canciones diferentes para cada carrera
I always saved the Thunder item until that big jump haha
Feel like what you just described is what everyone does, it happened to me from buddies sooo often…

luigi raceway music looks like familiar
It's wacky wormbench from sonic cs

“Hmm, Raccoon City sounds lovely!”
Nostalgia here I come! Broken controllers come to mind 😂
Was Toad a lil bit faster than everyone else? I always felt like Toad was fastest . What do you think?
Yes he is
Unfortunately, all cpus have the same speed, but not like as you, they rubberband
Reminds me of the time I crashed and threw my controller
Because of that long jump in wario stadium, eh?

Bowsers castle 🏰 was very scary 😨 it's the type of music you would have in a bad dream....
best song in any game
I really want the speeded up version that plays on the third lap
This sounds like it could be used as like a generic mission or battle mode theme icl
