My run-in with the Grand Wizard recently went about as well as your first go - after he one-shot killed my main pawn, I decided to cut my losses and run off with a bunch of Cannibal Chiefs for bounty.
Yeahh he's super strong, I thought at first he was weaker than the meat lord but proven wrong pretty quick. XD
