The first time I end up with a very basic version of Kali with no GUI, I tried to install the missing interfaces with no success so I decided to format the partition and reinstall Kali, this time with a wired internet connection and it went through wonderfully, it even took me very long because I selected almost all the options. Win10 and Kali working perfectly. Keep it up! Your tutorials rock!
Great tutorial! If anyone isn't able to see the Windows option in GRUB - just open up a terminal in Kali and type 'sudo update-grub'. It might recognize your windows 10 drive and add it to the list in GRUB :)

Erjien ZZ I would check the BIOS settings to make sure that you have UEFI set to “both” and make sure that boot order is correct. I’m guessing right now it’s just default booting into your Windows partition.
EDIT: I got it. I just downloaded latest release onto USB with Rufus. Something seriously wrong when trying to upgrade to 2020 release from already installed older kali. Thanks for the kali educational vids! 😘
I personally have had troubel using the network mirrors, so what I usually have to do after installation is go to the /etc/apt.sources.list and add the kali repositories from the kali website using nano and then run my updates. Parrot OS is a lot easier and has a lot more GUI front ends like Zenmap for NMAP as example but for my lenovo when I update parrot is always crashes the video card driver. So that is why I am opting for kali on this machine.

For this, my installation kept hanging after trying to configure DHCPv6 so I just completely turned off my NIC in my BIOS and it seems to be working....wish me luck!

This version looks way better than the one that starts with a black screen where you have to hit "root," then "password" (which you can't even see!) then "startx." I dunno, there's something about that MSDOS screen that frightens me. Would you recommend this version for Penetration Testing?

I got everything working great there is just one thing bugging me. Along with kali, and the regular windows boot manager. I have another windows boot manager option except, it takes me to the troubleshoot menu. Do you know if there is a way to remove it?

Look you probably won’t see this but once I install kali and it reboots my computer normally I try to boot it up but it just puts me back thru installation and another problem I can’t access normal windows anymore

for Acer and uefi, you have to set the file in the bios or you wont get grub.

Since u r installing kali dual boot with Windows from UEFI bios, don't u need to disable the Secure Boot?

AntNetwork just change it in the BIOS, I believe it’s the option “secure boot”, just disable it
