    She went to church and had faith even when everyone else in her life didn't. When Phyllis shared that I instantly thought about all of the times that Phil and Kay had been praying for their children and as they prayed those prayers they were actually covering her as well! That is powerful stuff and it makes me smile to think about the HOPE that it gives for all the broken families out there! Keep praying and fighting on your knees because you dont even know who you are praying for sometimes!

    • @tearalewis7532
      @tearalewis7532 4 года назад +9

      @Matt what? He had no idea she even existed. He is not a "religious" man, he is a believer in Christ, born again. We all have a past, we all fall short, and we all need our Lrod and savior. It is because we are all sinners that we need God. Phil has always been very open about his sinful past, how he was a jerk, horrible husband, and father when he was lost. But he came to Christ and completely changed his life. God has forgiven him, K has forgiven him, and so have his children. He hides nothing. No better testimony then a man so far down in sin, yet God loves each and every one of us, and is there to scoop us up and was us clean from our past if we just Come to Christ and give our hearts to him and ask for forgiveness. I am sure he would have opened his heart and home years ago had he known of her.

    Thank you folks for sharing this story!
    6 yrs ago I found out I had 2 boys... I was scared out of my mind!
    My wife and I have 2 boys of our own. I thought I was done for!
    Although the pain was very evident when I told her, my wife, my Angel, put her arms around me and said..."I love you, we'll figure it out, we'll make it through it."
    So.... To all...
    "The Strongest creature God ever put on planet Earth, is in fact... Woman!"
    I wrote that on FB after a day or so of telling my wife the news and her reaction.
    She is an amazing woman!

She was taking a bus to meet him, she had a layover that was going to be a few hours in the same city I lived in. So I told her that I would drive her the rest of the way to meet her dad. It was really nice to see him and her meet each other at the same time.

You see but one small chapter in a novel about Phil and Phyllis, while the Lord has written every word in every library. He did this for a purpose, and if it's not for us to understand at this time, okay. When we met for the first time it was like reconnecting with a relative I hadn't seen in a while. There was no awkwardness. Our parents married 9 months after he was born and had 6 mote children together. My brother slways knew he was adopted but was a bit shocked to find out he had 6 full-blooded siblings. It's been a joy getting to know him and his family. Mom passed in 2012 but Dad got to meet him in early 2019. He's still young, I try to explain things to him, but he doesn't fully comprehend yet. My husband stayed with me, and he decided that he wanted to raise our son. It's difficult to face my own sin, but I am very thankful for my son. I pray that my son will always know how very much loved and wanted he is, even if his biological dad wasn't in a place where he could take responsibility. I also pray that my son understands that his real dad is the man that chose to love and care for him, even if they do not share the biological component. My biggest fear is hurting my son, but that may be another consequence of my own sin?

    When I watched this I realized that Miss Kay must have been praying over their children and possibly Phil’s children from the time of the conception of this daughter. Even without actually knowing his daughter existed this precious child was prayed for. That would make so much sense as to why Phyllis choose to find a way to church even as her family did not. Another example of the power of prayer

    I didn’t expect the emotion that welled up in me as I listened to the five of you relate this amazing, tender story. Thank you Phyllis for your bravery and determination. Thank you, Miss Kay for letting Jesus demonstrate His forgiveness and unconditional love through you. Thank you Phil for following Jesus...because you did this story has the right ending. Thank you Jase, yours and Alan’s readiness to pull Phyliss immediately into your family circle is so heartwarming. Thank you Alan, you definitely have a special talent of spiritual leadership, and exercise is so gently.
    Blessings to all!

    Timing is everything...I just saw the movie "Blind" yesterday and today is Sunday.. this podcast popped up on my phone and I had time to watch it. Saw that Phil had a daughter he was unaware of. First thing I thought was how strange that her name is Phyllis named after a Father she didn't know she had. The whole situation is such a testament of how the Lord takes care of things. The family has been praying for a member that they didn't know existed for 45 years. The Lord decided that the timing was right and Phil could meet his past with something positive. The motto "Faith, Family, Ducks" definitely is true for this famiiy. Love, forgiveness, compassion, acceptance etc..I Love the Robertsons for all that they give to the world.❤
    Thank you for sharing.
