- Today I'm thrilled to be unboxing a rare and unique Italian Doctor Who DVD Box Set called Doctor Who Gli Inizi! It's the Italian version of the Beginning Box Set! Huge thanks to Mark Worgan for sending me this wonderful gift along with four amazing art prints by Mark Worgan! This Italian Doctor Who DVD Box Set contains An Unearthly Child, The Daleks, The Edge of Destruction and a 31-minutes condensed telesnap reconstruction of Marco Polo and comes with a guide to the First Doctor's era of Doctor Who!
I also unsealed the Italian Blu-ray of Doctor Who Il Tempo Del Dottore aka The Time of the Doctor sent to me by John Fischer!

I know, right? 😄 There are three sets that I know of, Gli Inizi (An Unearthly Child, The Daleks, The Edge of Destruction, Marco Polo Condensed Reconstruction), I Dalek Invadono la Terra (The Aztecs, The Dalek Invasion of Earth, and The Web Planet), and L'Invasione (The Mind Robber, The Invasion, and the Seeds of Death).

The Italian DVDs look very interesting! there is also a third Italian set named L'Invasione, it includes The Mind Robber, The Invasion and The Seeds of Death.

fun story about that image of Hartnell they use on the cover bottom and spine of the UK releases, and also on this one, it's actually a composite shot, blending the head and shoulders from a publicity shot from the Celestial Toymaker and the face from an image from the Army Game. Two photos of William Hartnell, but one of them isn't actually from Doctor Who, which is kind of strange to me, I've seen that picture so many times it's one of my strongest associations with the first Doctor, but it's not really a doctor who image.

I just got a doctor who 1000 piece puzzle with comic book covers.
There are three different titles in that series
"The Beginnings" in 3 different versions
"The Daleks Invade Earth" in 3 different versions
"the invasion", in 2 different versions
...and to be exact, what you show is the 2nd version
Too bad no one has sent you an actual K9 yet. 😆 Italian Who K9 print wow.
