My favorite detail that I discovered by accident has to be from Flatline: if you go into Anthony’s room without the doctor’s clothing the police will tell you to get away but if you return with the doctor’s clothes after being spotted by the police one of them will say the following: “Hey I saw you a second ago, if you’re a doctor I’m the pope” and “You think that coat’s gonna fool me? You ain’t a doctor!”
In the "final interview" mission you can kill goldberg and jump out the window behind him to get back to the street. You will get a unique phonecall for this too.
@@whatever57010 "all possibilities" videos are great but its good that you made a separate video (this) for the most interesting possibilities. I watched a lot of your "all possibilities" videos, but sadly, I don't have time to watch all of them, and having a video containing only interesting moments is a great touch to those who can't find much free time.
I believe GTA 4 is far better than 5, unique cutscenes and dialogues depending on what you do is a great way to make the game feel more alive. This game is truly ahead of its time.
Eh I didn't care much for the endings in part 4 myself and some of the missions got a bit repetitive, I liked that 5 had a more light-hearted and fun tone with more mission variety and better driving and shooting controls, but there is something fascinating about how dark 4 gets.
The first one was the best. The developers really thought it through. What if the dude is pushed into water? The flash drive would get destroyed, so need to retrieve & take it back to Francis. I really hope Rockstar puts these kind of efforts in GTA's next title 🤞🏻
I think they just noticed during the tests that the flash drive could not be picked up if a person died in the water, and already from this they thought of destroying the flash drive with water
I think they first made it as a fail state, then someone at the testing team pointed out to them that it makes no sense for the mission to fail when you're supposed to get rid of the USB drive.
Like the Professional mentioned Dimitri in the same mission says the Police have been given authorization to tap their phones yet when he betrayed Niko he felt perfectly comfortable talking about Miakahils murder and threatening Niko on the phone.
Ahhhh, that sound you hear when you pick up a dead civilians money. That sound, i never thought i would hear a sound that sounds like the color green, LOL.

I don't know why people like you ask for remasters when it's already a perfect game. Yeah the graphics are dated but not outdated like graphics from 2001. Graphics aren't important at all. Besides, many remasters are cash grabs like tlou 1 remaster
Very nice, I knew most of this through the fan wiki. Played it on Ps3 back then got negostia and tried it on PC. To my surprise...controller support also has aim assist like on console, did not expect that. I find its graphics hold up nicely for today and that's it's a unique GTA game, given the focus on family, rather than crime or money Don't take this the wrong way but apart from police and details, I find the fact you can have the classic 3d controls make it better than GTA 5 to me. Got a handicap, so able to drive and shoot voa the normal buttons than shoulder buttons is easier for me/more comforable. Also, I find the cover and aiim system is better in GTA 4 than 5, how Niko only stays in cover until you actually fire, and that you can see NPC health (and body armor) I missed that in GTA5, especially how NPCs can be "wounded", only to get up again, as you showed in your NOOSE video back then
This is why I've replayed this game so many times. If GTA VI is gonna have this level of detail and atmosphere I'll wait as long as needed. It's not impossible to get a single player campaign like this nowadays, they did it with Red Dead 2.
Yeah when I play RDR2 (best Rockstar game IMO) it remind me a bit of some stuff from IV, not saying IV is on the same level as RDR2 but I can see some minor similiarities.
My guess is that with this game they wanted it to be next gen. They wanted those words to mean something. Little did they know, this masterpiece holds up well even to this day. All the little details and efforts. This is the best gta ever.
You see? This is why GTA 4 is the best GTA game ever, PERIOD! Hell, it might be the best PS3 game ever made! It is just like how Metal Gear Solid 1 for the PS1, the best PS1 game ever! What have both Metal Gear Solid 1 and Grand Theft Auto 4 in common? Years later, you can still find out interesting stuff that the creators either intentional or not intentional was hiding from us all. It's amazing how you can find stuff from a game that came out in 2008 (Same goes for MGS 1 whihc came out in 1998)
if it were GTA 5 you would get a mission failed screen if it were GTA 4 you would get a different dialogue and fails cutscenes that plays out differently depending on what you did.
the 7th gen of gaming was the best generation. the graphics finally got good enough to look like humans (gta before this had playdoh character models for example) and the experimentation and resources were at the highest they ever were. we'll look back on these years very fondly, new games are too graphically intensive to ever reach this level of detail ever again.
It's a shame that R* decided to go full linear with their games past GTA IV You would expect to fail for killing the manager before he is able to talk...
Well with RDR2 they have used this design for some missions but Have used the more scripted for others. But the whole of Rockstar worked on it so each Rockstar studio has there own style for quest design.
GTA IV has some scary levels of detail that were straight up taken out of V. I love V to pieces but so much of the 'soul' and innovation was stripped out. To me, GTA IV is like the MGS2 of its franchise. Tons of detail, tons of technological innovation but a divisive experience for players.
GTA 4 has such amazing details, and games nowadays like Cyberpunk2077 or The Witcher 3 Wild Hunt do surpass it, but it was amazing for its time. I think its canon to kill the blackmailer in the water, because Francis doesn't even tell you where to meet him. Killing Tallbot doesn't make sense to me. Niko isn't a psychopath who kills opportunistically. One can make the argument that reuniting with Florian made him very nervous and emotional, but it's not something Niko would do, especially to a man with no criminal background. Sure he killed the Rivas cousins, but when Niko kills he primarily does it for money, or sometimes revenge or survival, and doesn't kill because he wants to. A perfect example is Trevor optionally killing celebrities or Johnny who provoked him and Ortega who didn't, or Tommy killing Candy's pimp, or Claude supposedly killing Maria, or Toni killing Casa. Niko's anger consuming him is a good argument, but like I said, it doesn't fit his character.
To think back then they even added stuff that not many people would find out in the game and now most new games are not even finished let alone have attention to detail. Games like the new Saints Row are mobile games compared to this game right here
Considering if you called Dimitri during that mission when Faustin wants you to kill Kenny’s son it’s obvious he knew about it and didn’t prevent it because he wanted faustin dead
Not sure if this has been mentioned but if you play romans sorrow with a motorcycle a standing animation of Niko pulling Roman from the flame appears for both locations
There's also the mission where you kidnap roman in the lost and damned you can take the car with malc and drive to the location where you're supposed to take him then call him by using the cab number that Elizabeth gives you and complete the mission it's much faster but you'll skip the majority of the dialog
One of the few missteps I think they took was the Francis vs. Derrick thing. Niko had already gotten close to the McRearys, youd think he'd call Packie or Gerry and tell them he'd been asked by both to kill the other instead of racking up more guilt.
I was doing the mission about killing Dardan last night. And something funny happened. I stabbed him multiple times but when his HP was down to only a single bar. He magically yeets himself out of the window. I didn't even push him. 🤣🤣
