- We take a graduation celebration trip for our youngest daughter, Emma! We checked out the Winchester Mystery House, drove the beautiful Lost Coast, and camped in the majestic Redwoods of Northern California.
This was definitely a bit of a different trip than our usual Oregon overlanding, and it was a pretty refreshing change of pace. Tons of road miles, established campgrounds, and some absolutely stunning scenery await in California!

I have four kids 10 and under (and also a daughter named Emma) so it is hard to image this far ahead in time right now. But I have hope of many future family trips (hopefully they get easier as it's quite a challenge right now). What are the changes of seeing the same road washout on the California coast, pretty positive that was in Camp Out West's recent video as well lol. Much enjoyed the video, thanks
We have a total of 4, too, and it's crazy that she's the last one in the house! It goes fast, so enjoy those trips! Once I knew our two destinations, it was easy to use Campoutwest's video (and a few others on the area) as a reference to connect the two heading back north, so I knew a little of what to expect 😉
