I watch Max & Lee (van life around Central America) they also have a dog. LA Vagabond for a couple that sail the world with a baby. And Pam the van which is one awesome.
I can't stand how some people can't pick up there own rubbish , bag it and clean up after they leave..... it takes only minutes to clean as you go..... it's great these bothies still exist.... let's all do a little to keep them clean and tidy......😉😉😉
hey i live at the beach you have at beginning of your video :) interesting about glen duror, i have walked that path over to balachulich many times its lovely, thankyou for posting :)
Have you tried nettles? They are everywhere. I love them with pasta. Really good for you, high in protein, minerals etc. Lose their sting very quickly when cooked.
Marina, you are a force of nature. You go to a bothy and clear up someone else’s rubbish and then you teach me about wood sorrel. OMG you are bloomin lovely!
Bothies are an awesome facility when hiking etc... General way of bothies is to use stuff from the stash then leave some stuff in its place so the stash stays replenished 🤓 Great vids btw. (Especially the scottish ones lol 🏴)
Hi, to dry your shoes put them on your engine when you park up and the heat from the engine goes a long way to drying them out or in the front window in the sun for as long as you can.
love the videos , my younger brother is quite well off , unlike me , and often takes a year off and goes traveling the world a year in Oz , USA, Asia etc and he is amazed that in the remotest of places there is always someone from our home town , Hull there lol
I love listening to your voice and comments. You also have some hidden comedic talent ! Beautiful young lady traveling in some really beautiful scenery ! Safe travels, oh still love Odie , really nice dog !
Argo started out life as The Green Shield Stamp store. I remember them as a boy. They were trading stamps you received from all manner of stores from peterol stations to supermarkets. You collected them in books then took them to the Green Shield Stamp shop and exchanged them, books and books of them, for an item from the catalogue. At the start of the scheme you would get one or two stamps at a time but at its height when you did a big shop in Tesco, hundreds would come streaming out of a machine over the till. Pasting them into the books was a job for a wet afternoon.
Been binge watching your videos. Enjoyed it so much, starting from weaving pine needles. I like castles and Scotland weather and a bit disappointed you didn't show the whole castle or can't you? Did I miss the name? Oldest castle in Scotland..
I love your life! I've done a bit of vanning in the '90's, but your videos make me want go out and get on the road again. Thanks for sharing your experiences and keep living the dream!
just found this after doing some hills at weekend and a bothy visit near The Grey Corries.. your 'bothy' pronunciation is spot on and you're picking up a Scottish accent here and there :) we've now got to stop planning our 6 month (or longer) van trip and just do it!
One way to help the inside of your shoes dry quicker is to boil some water and then put large stones inside. Once the stones are very hot, use tongs to get them out of the water and put them inside your shoes. They will be nice and warm when you put them back on😊
Nice dance at the end! You're like me in that you say goodbye to everything. When I leave my house every day I say see you later to the kitchen and the lounge. Thought it was just me but obviously not :)
Just found this one. Relaxing to watch and more escapism in these weird times. Oh and those clothes hanging up in the trees, look dreadful. They should stop that one. 🔒 on a bridge are one thing, but when amongst nature, it should be kept that way!
12:30 Oh my gosh, your salad looked so fantastic, much of it picked from a remote hillside in the Scottish Highlands. Been watching a lot of your Scottish diaries, loving them :)
Looks like you and Odie are having an amazing time, so lucky with the weather. You're making me so excited for our trip to Scotland on Friday! If we end up in a similar location maybe you can teach me to forage in exchange for coffee :)
I know this is funny, but to waterproof my boots, i put carrier bags on my feet and tie them around my ankle. its great if i get holes in my boots, and they do keep your feet dry. i think its something we did a lot as kids, because my parents couldn't afford to keep buying us new wellies haha
Go to a bothy in Scottish highlands it will be fun they said, it was like a 60 mile hike over bog ground with Luggage and there was no coffee shops there or wifi .
I love this area as I lived there for 2 years and have done most the hikes and Munros but as far as drying your boots I would put them under the bonnet after a drive but not on the engine block but I find it dry's them by the morning.
You must visit Berchtesgaden in Bavaria,170 Km from Munich...25 Km from Salzburg Distance....but it´s Extent-Tourismus here in Summer...from Mai-October...i live here....so many Cars and People here in the Summer omg....but in the Mountains are still Places too:)but i´m not a Bavarian,i´m from Neuss near Düsseldorf and Cologne,770 Km from here...:)
Try a gopro camera small light. Also dont buy new. I bought a dealer refurbished one a hero 4. Works perfectly. And not too expensive. Compared to new prices which are crazy. Happy traveling.
Awesome video. Looks amazing. I love that you go foraging, I’m hoping to do this soon. That food looked yummy. Should do a cooking video 😊 be nice to see. Dancing at the end made us laugh. Lol xxxxxx
Chip Hultman ... it looks very similar to Clover but it's not the same plant. Clover is extremely common in the UK and, although Wood Sorrel looks almost identical, only one is worth eating. :-) Also, in my experience, Wood Sorrel often has 4 leaves.
That last part of the video makes me think Marina ate something akin to Magic Mushrooms? Walking or diddling about like an overwhelming Fairy but overall a good video if not somewhat against human nature in that you should always carry food in the form of trail mix and at least a small bottle of water to wash it down with.
If your hiking shoes are made of material, I've heard that you can rub a white candle over the material, then get a hairdryer and melt the wax into the material, making them water resistant. Or a really good product called "just repel it", is a water repellent in a spray can, just spray it all over your hiking shoes and the jobs done. It won't change the colour of the material either.
Might be a bit late now as you have probably already found a way... but... with regards wet footwear I find if you use old newspaper and scrunch it up, put it inside your wet boots overnight then they are a lot drier the next day than just leaving them... hope it helps and kudos on the excellent vids :)
Did you break the screen on the Thinkpad I saw in another video? Normally you have to work quite hard to break those. I've used them for years (possibly decades, now) and am yet to physically break one, and I'm pretty clumsy! At least they're relatively easy to work on.
Oh, how lovely to see Scotland in the sunshine! I’m glad you’re finally having some good weather! A couple of questions: Do you eat the wood sorrel whole or only a part of it? And how do you get Odie to stay close to you while hiking? Do you have to call him back a lot and is his recall very good? I’m still struggling with Misha when he’s off-lead, especially as he is completely fearless and adores chasing squirrels! Thank you so much for another great vlog and I hope your laptop gets to you safe and sound! Oh, and I’ve just discovered your wonderful Etsy shop - I love what you make and am placing an order very soon!! Tabitha & Misha xxx
Tabitha Suzuma oh thank you so much Tabitha, will be looking for it! So as for the wood sorrel you can eat the steams the leafs and the flowers, although I think people mostly eat the leafs. As for Odie, he rarely runs off on his own cause 1 he gets tired of running 2 he knows he might not find me when he comes back. There has been a few occasions were we couldn't find each other anymore and we both panicked 😂 but he is an older "wiser" dog, I know it can be very challenging with younger dogs and hounds.
pamthevan It is the most awful feeling when we lose them, isn’t it? Just dreadful. Thank you so much for your reply and hope you are still enjoying some fine weather!! xxx
Great video. Don't be put off though by a very tiny small minority of idiots. These bothies as you know are wicked. I spent a few months over winter in this very bothy. The heaviest items were my food. I will post a video if I can of my time there if I can find it and show my expenditures for food.
J’ai pas bien compris cette vidéo, mais la fin est inattendue; je pense que tu faisais ça pour surprendre ton chien qui était dans la voiture, plutôt rigolo 😁
Its a shame you decided to not do the Bothy thing. So many more people could enjoy them. We can't tar a whole group because of a few bad eggs. Most people don't leave trash.
Once you've found your channel it's hard to watch any other campervan channel....nothing compares.... please keep them coming.... fantastic. 😉
I watch Max & Lee (van life around Central America) they also have a dog. LA Vagabond for a couple that sail the world with a baby. And Pam the van which is one awesome.

Yes love risotto with nettles, so delicious! 🤗
I agree with your decision not to spread the info for the bothy to the wrong people. ❤️
Marina, you are a force of nature. You go to a bothy and clear up someone else’s rubbish and then you teach me about wood sorrel.

Love this vid , good call on the bothy , totally get why you don’t do a bothy tour blog . Like the foraging skills .
Thanks, as always. Yes, you are right; a little jig is better than a song.

I was in Glencoe, in road trip, just 10 days ago, amazing place..
Enjoy your trip ! :) 🐾

Beautiful countryside

Thank you very much for these videos. You are both inspiring and a joy to follow.

Ha I've done the same with my work boots in the winter when they never seem to dry out and yes it does keep your feet dry
glad ur being smart, be safe
Go to a bothy in Scottish highlands it will be fun they said, it was like a 60 mile hike over bog ground with Luggage and there was no coffee shops there or wifi .
So cute! Girl! I like watching ur videos, very relaxing 👍
Not a surprise the sheep ran away, they are well trained up in Scotland :P
Love the walk off in the end!
Mine are made from canvas. I put lard on them. It does the trick.
Very good.. once again. Thank you x

You need to get some sealskinz waterproof socks they are brilliant for keeping your feet dry when your boots etc are wet

Si & Lou that's goog idea I might do a "recipes from the wild" series 😀
pamthevan Yes!! You definitely should! That would be amazing! 😊💕xxxxx
Canada and the US used to have catalogue stores but they went long ago (as did the other catalogue stores in the UK), somehow Argos has survived.
Really nice country side.
in america those plant are called clovers and it is considered lucky if you find one with four heart shaped leaves. :^

Nice Vlog! Maybe you make a series of posts/vlogs about salads with goods from nature. Think that would be great.
Get full grain leather boots, and put bee's wax on them. No more wet boots

Very good tips thank you! I've bought some hiking boots and I';m actually quite pleased with them they seem to be holding up quite well to the bogs
You should write a book of your adventures that would be a very interesting read keep up the great vidz

Very good tip, need to get myself some newspaper!
