I recently found and started watching your videos and enjoy them a lot - especially the Little Free Library ones. I have fibromyalgia and don't get out of my house much because of the pain and incredible fatigue. However, yesterday I felt pretty decent and, inspired by your videos, downloaded the app and had my husband take me to six LFLs. I took thirteen books and left eleven. Next time I'll be better prepared; I have tons of books to donate. I'm exhausted and sore today, but very happy. Thanks for the inspiration!

Honestly glad you cover the LFL #'s! Some videos I watch have the numbers really clearly shown and I worry about the person who is filming's safety, esp if they're filming where they live and not on vacation or travelling etc.

That Murakami book is excellent - the cover is also the thing that attracted me when it came out. I miss living in a city. I’m a big reader and always have piles of donations that I would spread around town like a book fairy. Thanks for supporting little free libraries!
I found your channel today, and after watching so many of your videos, I decided to pack some of my old books and take them to a local Free Library. I was so, so, so sad to see that there were no books, only a couple of magazines. But then I stopped for a moment and ended up leaving all ten books I had brought with me, hoping that at least one of them will bring joy to someone's life. 💖 You're making a change! This was such a cozy and fun video!! Also thank you for keeping your community safe! They recently built a FLL in my neighborhood and it’s FILLED with children’s books which is the cutest thing. It’s in a great spot too because the property it’s next to is close to where one of the local elementary schools is, so I can just imagine so many kids stopping to check it out after school when they walk home! (Yes, my neighborhood is filled with kiddos haha!).
I went to some free little libraries back in June for the first time! I got super anxious because even though people consent to have others visit their property, it still made me SO nervous!
Yeah I totally hear that! Being respectful of other people’s privacy & space is my #1 priority when I visit LFLs, so that’s a good attitude to go with! Hopefully as you visit more you will feel more comfortable as a respectful visitor :’)🫶🏼

You should have picked up Hester! It’s a reimagining of Hester Prynne from The Scarlet Letter by Nathaniel Hawthorne. It’s feminist and inspiring. It’s also about Synesthesia, a condition that allows people to experience one sense through another. Charli XCX, Lorde, and Billie Eilish all have it. They would have been considered witches back in the day! 😅
I think I'm going to give up on the idea of selling my books back to Half Price Books (cause they only give maybe a dollar for a pile of books anyway) and go do a LFL unhaul instead. Cause I really do enjoy all of the LFLs that the folks in my city have. I'm so lucky that my closest one is around the corner from me, and usually has a fun selection. The only thing I picked up recently was Opuestos, a kid's book in Spanish that I'm going to read to my niece and nephew. I'm going to try not to get anything for myself cause my floor pile of books is getting out of hand. As a side note, I could write a comedy about how my husband and I have been planning on getting me a Billy Bookshelf from IKEA for years now, but it never works out because the only times we ever go to Minneapolis is when we have passengers in our vehicle and it's just too hard to take a huge item like that home and also not leave your friends behind in Minneapolis. Then there was the time we were traveling and couldn't get anything large because we can't take a Billy Bookshelf on a plane with us. And just yesterday, we were in the same city as an IKEA but just couldn't justify the time to go to it, plus we were in my car and didn't know if we'd have the physical space. IKEA really needs to publish a list with popular items they sell and the popular cars people drive, and weather or not those items would fit in said car.
Oh, and I'm so happy for you that you are collecting the Crazy Rich Asians series. I just finished Kwan's most recent release and it was one of my favorites of the year. I love rich people drama and extravagance if they're made-up rich people.
OMG I WILL SAY idk this is PURELY OFF OF reviews alone so take it w a grain of salt but actually IKEA must have changed the material / build of the Billy Bookcases either earlier in 2024 or last year, bc all the reviews are complaints about how its way less sturdy + the shelves no longer align with the older Billy bookshelf models (so like if I buy one right now and build it I guess the shelf heights would not match the one I bought in 2016 or whatever)!! so maybe try to get an older model off of FB Marketplace if you can in your area, SUPPOSEDLY they're not being made the same anymore!!
