This is the best sounding SDX of all time in my opinion. I have decades, hansa, roots, and have played all others. That New World plate preset is pure bliss. Thanks shootie

Phenomenal SDX with both acoustic and electronic presets! Will have to pick this one up on the next Toontrack sale!

It will probably be years before this specific SDX goes on sale. I have never seen Toontrack include any recent releases in their sales. They do have some great sales, but they carefully select what is on sale and what isn’t, which makes sense.
A bundle at Thomann music will get any SDX down to $107 each.

@@ShootieSchool How do you do that? It doesn’t seem to let you put multiple SDX’s in a cart.
It didn't take much arm twisting to purchase this one. Lots of variety in sounds, and the digital drums are such a nice feature that Toontrack's SDX expansions don't have much of, until now.
This one was very fun!
The Reggae Rock kit / Stewart Copeland is Amazing .. I want it just for that kit #Unique

Darn! I have just bought EZD3, and would luv to see something like this available for the platform. Perhaps they will make it available, in the not too distant future? I’d snatch it up immediately.

Hi Shawn, thanks so much for making all these Toontrack demos. Of all the existing EZX libraries, which one do you think has the best stock presets for hard rock and heavy metal? I'm an EZdrummer user and I'm just a little overwhelmed by Toontrack's huge catalog.
Thanks for saying. I like the old Metal! EZX , and Death Metal EZX sound really polished out of the gate. Hard Rock EZX is great, but fewer metal presets. This is just my opinion since everybody has really different perspectives on what they like. The Death Metal EZX could surprisingly pass as a Pop Metal sound, IMO. If you're looking for raw sound instead, go MetalHeads EZX.
Modern Metal and Duality II are fantastic but more particular, IMO.
Looks like a great library. Are there only one-shots in the drum machine library, or maybe some multi-layer thing?
From what's I've noticed, they're just One Shots on the electric Library.
If you listen, you can hear all the octobans are one sample, transposed to the different size/pitch octobans. Looks like someone cut some corners on sampling those.

Now that EZD3's new features are out, I'm curious what your thoughts are comparing SD3 to EZD3 features. Should a new songwriter on EZD3 crossgrade up to SD3 during the sale, or wait?
If your a pro audio engineer or pro edrummer, SD3 might be appetizing to you.
EZD3's Grid Editor has more features with it's Grid Editor (for now) and has the Bandmate feature, SD3 does not.
I've never seen a crossgrade go on sale. Cheapest price is at Thomann Music. The cheapest price for anything TT except Midi Packs are at Thomann, fyi.
SD3 is more work, there is no doubt. But a skilled person will get a superior sound. The EZ line is literally easier.

Is it allowed to actually say what they are? 🤔 From what I can gather, there’s Phil Collins - “I Missed Again”, “I Cannot Believe It’s True”, “In Too Deep”, “Mama”, “In The Air Tonight”, “Tonight, Tonight, Tonight”, “Billy Don’t Lose That Number”, “I Don’t Care Anymore” and “Invisible Touch”. Stewart Copeland - “Every Breath You Take/King Of Pain”, “Wrapped Around Your Finger”, “Synchronicity II”. The rest I guess are Sting solo with Vinnie Colaiuta?

Is it me or does hitmaker seem like a one trick pony. I’m assuming if you aren’t looking to cover Invisible Touch, In the air tonight, or genesis albums is there more?
