Hi, there is a small mistake at 7:33 in your explanation: at 192kHz there are only two channels possible with one optical cable. Four channels are possible at 88.2 / 96kHz max.
Hey, Fady! New to the channel, and wow great content! I was wondering what your general opinion is on RME products (converters, Pres) and do you think you will do content on DANTE?
@@fadygergis hello and thanks for the video . I run a console 24 faders with 8 busses . I’m running a quantum 4848 for the I/o . Im also running a focusrite i820 that’s dedicated for my Rupert neve summing box running to my rme ad fs 2 which is going to the 1-2 to my Apollo twin x . I’m running 3 interfaces in an aggregate device . Would a word clock advantage my set up ? My twin is set as the main clock
@MixedByDb all you need is making one of the units master clock. And just use BNC cables to connect all the units together. Which is few bucks for those cables.

Thanks! Super explanation! Since you brought up the subject, please consider making one on clocking?
Will do 👍

Welcome to the channel. RME is a great company. I haven’t used their Pres. but their converters are absolutely solid!
For Dante I am almost done with a new Dante vs Madi video
Thanks! Appreciate all you do!
Thank you! Can you say audio quality of ADAT is as good as say a second Apollo through Thunderbolt 3?
It will completely up to what ADAT unit you purchase. Because the Pres and the converters is what matters the most in the ADAT unit.
I'm really confused. If I had a piece of gear that has adat in and out, do I have to have an Alesis tape unit to utilize the technology?
No you don’t!
What is Word clock ?
That’s what you use to clock digital units together.

@MixedByDb yes I would recommend for sure using word clock!
@@fadygergiswhat would recommend that not to heavy on the pockets lol ?
