    Love your birds!! Reminds me of my mom. When her and my dad build their new house that they had saved for pretty much my whole life, my dad ended up unemployed. On that morning my moms devotional was the verse Matthew 6:26-27 where its talks about the birds having everything they need. Long story short, they finished their house debt free(praise the Lord!!), my dad got back to work after they finished their BEAUTIFUL new home, and alot of my moms decor centers around birds. Love watching you feed all your people :)~ash

    College student here!! I’m obsessed with your videos and I even started doing some freezer cooking because of you! My boyfriend and I are both working and doing school, so we really don’t have time to cook everyday, but we were getting so sick of doing weekly meal prepping. So, I asked him if he trusted me to do freezer cooking for the month and he was so hesitant at first because we are vegan and he wasn’t sure how it would turn out, but we are 3 weeks into it, and he loves it and so do I! Thank you for so much inspiration and information on how to feed our people (even if it’s only 2 of us!) ☺️

    I love your truthfulness and every video! You make me feel so positive about taking care of my family. Something I do when cleaning out my spice cabinet? Be sure to add partial bottles together. Place the rarely used ones on the top or in the back. And get some lazy Susan's. The narrow bins works great too! Measure your cabinets and check out what they cabinet companies do. Then hit the dollar store. I keep one of the bins with my most used spices. Others on the Lazy Susan. Hope you make the time. You will love the effect! Blessings to you and yours and Thank you. Keep posting.

    I used Hello Fresh during a couple of weeks in my 1st trimester when I just couldn’t think about dinners and meal planning. And even though I still had to cook them, it was SO helpful to have someone else plan, shop, and deliver it to me. Bonus, the meals were so good! We had 5 people eating and the family size (meant for 4 servings) was enough for us.

    I put all my spices into mason jars. They last longer than in the original containers since mason jars are air tight. And since everything is the same size it looks better and fits better. I use the 3 oz ones for the small spices I barely use, pints and quart sizes are good for the bigger containers. 12ct for less than $10. And I bought a chalk finish tape $4 and a white sharpie $2. Super reasonable for me.

    I buy my spices in bulk but I moved mine to 1/2C, 1C, & 2C caning jars. I find my spices last longer, easily organized & take up less space. They are all in a rack on the inside of my pantry door. No digging through a cabinet to find things!

    I went through several spice setups before choosing one. My refills are up top and unorganized, but my frequently used spices are spread between a lazy Susan in my cabinet and a nail polish holder on my counter. Wish I had something better, but I've used this for at least 3 years. It works...
    Now to go through my linen closet... Thanks for the inspiration!!

    The spice cabinet avalanche...not my favorite thing let me tell you. I bought little baskets, 2 for each shelf, at the dollar store. One basket has powdered spices, another has herbs, another has whole spices, one with baking things etc. All I have to do is grab the little basket I need and search it. I know where everything is. Nothing is hidden from me and best of all, no more bottles are trying to make a run for it every time I try to put a spice back. My spice cabinet has been perfectly organized for 2 months. That may be silly to some but to me it’s a miracle!

  • @anns.9030

  • @roxanemarie6988
    @roxanemarie6988 5 лет назад

    A cheap way I "organize" my spices is I took some scrap 2X4's and stacked two in the back of the cabinet and placed a row of spices on top of them, then in front of that row I placed one more 2X4 and put a row of spices on that one, then in front of that I put a row of spices as well, so they are kind of "stair-stepped, and I can see the ones in the back and I don't have to pull everything out to see what's where. Hope this helps!

    At the Dollar Tree they have a 3 pack of retangular storage containers. They are only about an inch high so they are perfect for spices. I use them for spices and my kcups. They fit 12 kcups at one time, if that gives you an idea of how big they are 😁

    There are adjustable shelf inserts for spice that are like steps or there is a U-shaped one for spices that is really cool. The step-style is great, but can be hard to get stuff out sometimes. I would recommend the splurge (it’s $20!) for the u-shaped. Or have Mr. Travis make one for you! Good luck. I have tons of herbs and spices as well, many are the huge tubs from Sam’s club.
