The British built the most beautiful motorcycles in the world, bar none. I am so glad that Triumph is back, and successful. I'm an American.

Unfortunately Triumph is serving redundancies in UK and moving almost all of its manufacturing to Thailand.

In one way it was far far better than a 1960s gathering. In another way it was pitifully lacking - the young skinney much missed pillion rocker girls.

Great meet at a great location, As a biker and a trucker I've stopped at this old cafe many many times just north of Towcester on the A5 Watling street , Sadly Jack Hills is no more a victim of the covid lock down and less foot fall through its doors with the M1 to its East and M40 to its West the truckers stopped going in many numbers and bike meets and car meets were not enough to sustain it there's local angish but a Warehouse distribution centre looks likely to fill the space once the bulldozers have finished

It seems everyone likes the Triumphs, but for some reason I am drawn to the BSA's. I know Triumph out sold BSA, Norton, Royal Enfield and many others, but I am still drawn to the BSA's. I love the LIghtning, Thunderbolt, Gold Star, I like BSA's. I don't own one but who knows maybe one day I will. I have a friend who owns 47 motorcycles, most are old Triumphs and BSA's.

Jacks Hill Transport Cafe as was is now The Highwayman Restaraunt. Jacks Hill on the old A1 between Graveley and Letchworth Gate was named after a local lad from Weston who took to being a highway man on the Great North Road and came from Weston. Being well over 6 ft tall was nicknamed Jack O' Legs; he is buried in Weston Church Yard.
