The only time I recall him asking me to change up what I was doing was when I learned the basic lick-and-chord for Wish You Were Here, and I played it something like 5,000 times, and he said, "Ben, do you think maybe you could play something else?" That was about 35 years ago. I still have that Takamine 12-string. Still have my Dad. Still love the song. And I still play it a lot. Love this version; thx for posting.
