His music has helped me much while driving on the highways when I lived in Nebraska and went home to Wisconsin. Always could think and clear my mind while listening to his music.
I grew up in the 70's listening to Red and all them old great ones. With a dad and uncles that were steel haulers I got to listen to a lot of great music. Sure do miss those days. R.I.P. Red.
Hey there, I’m Red’s grandson and I also play and sing. Have a favorite song of his? Mine is Lucky Ole Colorado and has been since I was a child. Love hearing other people talk about my grandfather. Thanks for the comment
Thank You for the glimpse into Red Simpson's music and life, well done documentary. Thank You Red for all your musical notes and melodies to accompany the lives of the people.
He was my grandma's brother. I guess that would make him my great uncle. Didn't realize he so well known. I remember he would come visit my grandma frequently and he just seemed like a regular guy. My grandma Edie would say "you know, he's the one who wrote Tiger by the Tail and that bastard Buck didn't give him credit". Lol. I'm married to Buck's great nephew. Small world.
Jennifer Petty That's cool. Do you know Mario Carboni? He used to play with Red in his final days on tour together. He does a great job keeping his name and music alive
