Egal wie weit ich ihn erhitze, es wird immer nur der erste Ring sichtbar. Lediglich oben am Rad kann ich zwischen Stufe 1 und 2 wählen. Ist das richtig so? Wird generell nur ein Ring angezeigt und nur über das Rad der Druck reguliert? Oder ist der Topf kaputt?
Hi I got a used pressure cooker and am having some problems but maybe it is my fault not the cooker. As I heat it up the red indicator does not rise even though a lot of steam comes out from the main control valve and seems like steam is also coming from the base of the handle. I took apart the main valve control and it appears just fine the ring looks good so I cant figure out whats wrong. Thank you for any help!
1. Take a look at the "unimatik valve" located beneath the lid handle. It is a small piece of silicone rubber with a metal pin. When the fluid in the pot starts boiling, the valve blows off the air from the pot. When the steam pressure rises, the valve closes, and the pressurized cooking starts. 2. After years, the rubber loses its elasticity and the valve fails. Remainders from food would also cause a valve failure.
Was meinen Sie mit der Hitze? Die Temperatur im Topf drinn? Wenn der Stift schon draußen ist, heißt es nicht, dass es fertig ist. Da muss man noch kochen lassen je nach dem was gekocht wird.

@@marathonman1 thanks. My cooker lies unused for many years .. probably due to the reason you mentioned it never trapped steam and there are leaks.

Was meinen Sie mit der Hitze? Die Temperatur im Topf drinn? Wenn der Stift schon draußen ist, heißt es nicht, dass es fertig ist. Da muss man noch kochen lassen je nach dem was gekocht wird.
