I just went and checked out the original so I'd have something to compare it to. This is a very catchy tune. I like this version better than the original.
What I like about Yoyoka is that she always plays what the song asks for. She's equally capable of playing a steady beat as playing the most busy patterns. She always plays in function of the music.
I've seen a couple of professional drummers say something similar, that basically she keeps the beat perfectly even when nothing interesting is going on in the percussion line. Something that not even extremely experienced drummers do consistently.
You might know but she was just named to Drummer Worlds Top 500 drummers in the world on the Drummer World website. The youngest person ever to be so honored!

Well no disappoints here! That was great and whoever put together the video was tremendous. I am guessing Mr. Akifumi did the mixing of the audio. As usual the hardest working 11 year old in show business is dominating her drum kit and creating a tight beat with the bass! What a talented group of musicians!!!
