Yes, if JP didn´t want to have anything to do with James, he could easily leave him alone but there is apparently something between them that he can´t resist for some reason. And intellectually I do think he has more in common with James than George. Mercedes forgave James as she knew it was her fault that things got so wrong so if she can do it, JP can. The annoying thing is that James now tries to manipulate JP back to him which is really not suitable but fun to watch. It´s time for James to grow up and be kind and nice to people. In the beginning JP didn´t want to have anything to do with James and now says that he is a friend. It´s very obvious how things will turn out in the future.

Not only are they both Scottish, but they look quite similar (as do George and JP), and we don't really know much about either of their backgrounds. Also, JP and George's relationship is progressing pretty slowly by Hollyoaks' standard, even without James in the mix for the love-triangle. As mentioned, they haven't even kissed yet: what if it's because they're building up to a big reveal that they're blood-related? Plus, James Sutton (John Paul) did a storyline similar when he was on Emmerdale, so I wouldn't put it past the writers to have him do it again! Like I said, it's pretty crazy; but it's just a thought I had!
