Great progress and from the higher perspective views for Birmingham and HS2. The heritage alignments and monuments integrating with the plan. Good noted information.
Yeah, really great "progress" .. the Golborne link - scrapped. The Eastern leg - scrapped. The Northern leg - scrapped. The disaster that is Euston station .. "on hold" for two years & will only continue if private investment can be found. What's left of this monstrous vanity project is just another shuttle service between west London & Birmingham that'll be nothing more than a glorified cycle path within a decade of opening. HS2 is an environmental disaster of epic proportions & Britain's biggest infrastructure mistake in half a century.
@@CRIMSONANT1 God not you at it aain James baby, HS2 was only realy ever planned to run from London Euston to Birmingham and Manchester, the Eastern leg was a disasterouse waste of time and money from the start, If you do a bit of reserch Jamesey you will find that just on the outskirts of Birmingham a massive Delta Junction is being constructed to allow HS2 trains to travel from Birmingham to both London, Manchester and Scotland and also from London Euston to Manchester, Liverpool and Scotland with a junction at Handscre in Staffordshire, oh living in Newcastle upon Tyne you won't know where Handsacre is would you, where the HS2 route will joint the existing WCML taking the HS2 trains North, but there are plans to revive the Manchester link and also they are now tunnelling from London OOC to London Euston as OOC is not desighned as a terminal station. So if you think this is an enviromental disaster what was the Liverpool and Manchester Railway, sorry you don't know much do you so crawl back into your cot and drink your milk.
I hope this wider regeneration of Eastside spurred on by HS2 and the Trams will make them close a lot of the 3/4/6 lane roads and consolidate them into 2 lane roads with plenty of pavements, segregated cycle lanes and greenery. Birmingham is a nightmare to navigate unless you're in a vehicle.
Since when, I live in Birmingham and find no problem navigating arround the City Centre on foot and there are no 3/4/6 lane roads in Birmingham City Centre just normal dual carriageways and roads
@@peterwilliamallen1063 Besides New Street and Centenary Square, almost everywhere else you have to cross umpteen roads to get to where you want to go. The tram eastside extension should - as far as possible - transform roads into tram, cycle and pedestrian only.
@@jonathanwilliams9697 As a Brummie I disagree with you as most of the City Centre is pedestranised and has been since the 1970's and not only that you have to cross roads in any City Centre

Thanks for the sub!
Very slow 🐌 progress, considering how much time they have been building so far!
