Tithe is 10% of whatever represent your income source. If you watch what Jesus said in the NT, He said the pharisee and religious people tithe in both cash and all, and leave others undone, this you ought to have done without leaving the other undone. Giving whether it's tithe or seed or offering should be done in love and taking care of other moral and spiritual codes.
Jesus told the Pharisees that because they were still practicing levitical law and yet they still were unable to do THAT right. He was not talking to New Testament believers. There is no such thing as a biblical tithe on earned wages.
Thanks for posting this topic. I've been talking to people I know about this subject. Some don't believe that paying tithes is biblical for us under grace.
Hey Aimster! The tithing system was under a covenant made between God and the levites for THEM ONLY to receive a tithe from their brethren, their fellow 11 tribes. (Numbers 18:20-26, Hebrews 7:5) That convent was to be established forever. We are now a part of a better convent in which we are free to give, not under compulsion or obligation but as the Lords leads us (2 Corinthians 9:6-7). So no, we cannot say that there is currently a such thing as a biblical tithe on earned wages. Blessings☺️
Thank you so much for this great teaching, from what you are saying I can conclude that just as there are different levels of sanctity, there are also different levels of wealth. Using Kingdom principles and secrets helps you obtain a higher level of wealth... Its your choice if you comply hence the bible says "test me and see..". Great teaching!
I have always believed in tithing but now I am torn between giving my tithe to the church and actually giving a 10th of my earnings to actual people who are in need. What do you think is the right way to go about this?
I believe your tithe should be given to be used in the ministry where you are constantly nourished spiritually. Your giving in love and courtesy to the poor or needy is different.
Give to those in need, hands down. There is no such thing as a biblical tithe on earned wages, however the Bible does say in Proverbs 19:17, “He who has pity on the poor LENDS TO THE LORD, And He (God) will pay back what he (You) has given.”
@@ladylawrence11 interesting the pandemic really forced me to consider my past practices of giving. My ears became especially sensitive when the apostle said he gave from his "fat" and that was referenced as the " tithe" mmh I had been a laborer most of my working career and there was no "fat"
Nope. Your tithe belongs to God. Alms goes to people. What people do with Gods money is not on you. But you honor God with your tithe. There is absolutely nothing in the Bible where tithe went to people in need from the people. It goes to the temple. But let the Holy Spirit educate you as you need no man to teach you.

1. Does it matter which church you tithe in? 2. Can you divide your tithe to go to diffrent churches? 3. What it you tithe today forget next month then tithe the next do you have to pay extra or you just continue where you left.
Just to share... It seems your inquiry is in regard to systematic tithing. In the bible, all systematic tithes were received as organic, consumable items from within Israel and were specifically purposed for the Levitical theocracy, the poor and for the festivals. Today's version of "tithing" money to a religious institution isn't biblically supported. It's simply the giving of offerings per the discretion of the giver. We are only biblically instructed to give cheerfully, not under compulsion. Blessings in your giving.
@A D It says clearly in Numbers 18 v 24. The tithe was required from the children of Israel for the Levi and their decendants. So go ahead and do the same by all means if you are a Israelite (Jewish person) and do ensure it goes to a Levi or any of the descendants of a Levi. It's not for a church.
Proverbs 19:17 Whoever is generous to the poor lends to the LORD, and he will repay him for his deed. Give to the poor, help those who are less fortunate.
Amen the tithe is not just for the Pastor... Tithing has been taught in error... it's time to come out the building and help the poor and the less fortunate...you can tithe in different ways not just 10% of your money! The truth will set us free...we are in the New Testiment people!✔
To support the work of God is a must for Christians but it must be according to scriptures as in 2 Corinthians 9:6-7. There is no tithe or tithing for the priesthood. The priesthood in the old covenant did not pay tithe and for a parallel in the new covenant the royal priesthood (the church) is not asked to pay tithe. If Jesus Christ is not in it don’t practice it. Jesus Christ never asked the church to pay tithe.
Many scriptures, God's word & command about giving to the poor, those in need. Isaiah 58 specifically talks about this. Sady it's not taught, talked about in church. That's really where your blessing is. Test Him in this...
Most Churches operate as businesses while the people involved are doing ministry. Celebrity pastors are (or represent) the brand. Study to show thyself approved. There was actually more than one tithe. Yet church leadership only teaches/ promotes one type. People are to give... what we have decided to give... generously... out of a pure heart with pure motives. So than good is performed in the earth and none suffer lack. Listen to & chose to be led by the Holy Spirit. Be a Berean. Rightly divide/ discern the Word.
🙂🙂🙂🙂🙂Why do people argue about tithe read Milachi ..you should also tithe where you fellowship to your spiritual fathers ..tithe is not to be given everywhere or to anyone ..any other offering you can offer it where you feel like ..you give tithe where you get spiritual nourished where you have connections spiritually.
This is not the full explanation pertaining to tithing. I wish people would actually read everything and speak on it in its context. Both the people and the priesthood were judged in the book of Malachi. Tithe is actually for a nation. It’s for the less fortunate. Widows, fatherless and the poor. Its basically welfare. Food drives and all that. It’s was also for the Levi’s cause they were the only ones that did not own land. In the book of dueteronomy it tells you what tithing is really about. It’s also to do with gifting someone to honour them or bless them for whatever reason. As a thank you for example. This practice purpose was to ween the nation Israel into operating the way they should with each other. This practice is a foreshadowing of the golden rule (in the New Testament) which is love thy neighbour as thyself. That is why the Lord will say depart from me for I do not know you because I was hungry and you didn’t feed me. I was naked you didn’t clothe me, I was thirsty and you didn’t offer me a drink etc… but for those who did these things were accepted into the kingdom of God with open arms. Tithing is a lot deeper and it’s honestly a disservice to compare tithing to spiritual currency. Money is nothing but the condition of the heart is everything to God.
Cindy if I am a pastor and I am helping in a church until the Lord gives me my church should I tithe to that church? or can I use it to help the prople I minister to? Thku
Hello and God bless, I'm a new subscriber and I have a question about tithing, I just left my previous church , and I would like to tithe but don't have a church to tithe. Where should I tithe? And should you tithe at a church that something seems spiritually off by discernment, I have prayed and ask God what I should do as well. Be bless
Leaders, did you know that, concerning giving, or tithing, or prosperity, Malachi 3:8-12 is not the full counsel of God? It is an excerpt, quoted to the church for centuries (believe it or not), which is a misrepresentation of God's counsel. We've accepted it because that's what we have always been taught. Here are a few points to consider. -- Who did God appoint to receive tithes? God said, "And, behold, I have given the children of Levi all the tenth [the tithe] in Israel for an inheritance, for their service which they serve, even the service of the tabernacle of the congregation (Numbers 18:21). In this scripture, God established who receives the tithe (the Levites), and why they received it (they received no inheritance, and they served in the temple). This assignment is exclusive to Levites. A pastor cannot assume this assignment, he has never been scripturally assigned by God to collect tithes, he is not a Levite. In that same sense, only a Levite, never a pastor, could ever conduct an animal sacrifice or even work in a Jewish temple. The church has not replaced the Jewish temple, and pastors have not replaced Levites. -- People are blessed when they give, not because of Malachi 3, which is based on the Law of Moses, an Old Testament law that has been replaced by Grace under Christ, at the cross. They are blessed because Jesus said, "Give, and it will be given to you: good measure, pressed down, shaken together, and running over will be put into your bosom. For with the same measure that you use, it will be measured back to you" (Luke 6:38). It is this principle of giving and receiving at work, when we give and are blessed. Not the expired law of tithing, which was required of the Jews (never Gentiles), and could only be received by Levite priests because they received no inheritance and were set apart to work fully in the Jewish temple. -- There is much more to this, such as Abraham's tithe to Melchizedek, Jacob's promise to tithe, the history of when and why the New Testament church tithes (there is actually a date!), and the biblical support for all these truths. To be clear, every pastor has a right to collect offerings in support of the ministry; I fully agree with supporting the church financially. But our giving must be godly. It is wrong to require people to tithe, contrary to the scriptures, then say that we live according to the scriptures. If you're interested in learning more, I have researched and written about this in "Tither, You Are Free!" Blessings to you and your ministry!
Neither. There's no such thing as a biblical, systematic tithe received from earned wages. If one chooses to "tithe" from their earnings today, it's their choice whether it's from the gross or net.
Question to any one on this platform, where in the new testament does Jesus himself teaches on tithing or the disciples tithing that coincide with tithing in the old?
In the New Testament tithing is mentioned 3 times, Matthew 23:23, Hebrews 7:4, Luke 18:12. However, systematic tithing began and ended under the Old covenant and only consumable items were accepted as tithe deliverables. There's no biblical evidence that Jesus or the disciples collected or paid tithes or taught as a practice after the New Covenant.
Hey love! I would suggest getting a seed sowing account this is an account separate from your other ones where your putting a tithe of your earnings into. You can tithe a tenth of that towards you local church. But now you have a God’s money to do what he wants you to do as time progress. So he say Pay your neighbor phone bill your pay that from his account ect. God wants us to be good stewards of what he has given us. So that he can trust us with more. I hope this fills you up!
The tithe was always for the commonwealth of those who were in need! You don’t have to tithe to a church although if that is your personal preference you may but we are commanded to give to the poor and that is truly where the need is! When we give to the poor we lend to God I use my tithe for giving unto the poor and according to many scriptures instructions in the Bible I have been more prosperous in my doing things this way, but respect others beliefs I am just using biblical principles pertaining to how my finances are to be managed! 🙏🏽
@@chairwomanpurpose8126 thank you for telling me this and sewing this seed into me... I will do that now thank you very much 😊 🙏 you've helped me greatly 🖤🖤🖤
God was talking to the Levitical priests in Malachi because they had fallen away from collecting the tithe . The 11 tribes had to pay Levi because Levi did not have an inheritance, God was Levi's inheritance. Where in scripture does the tithe support the New Testament church?
I like the fact that one if they don't attend a church one has a separate account so when you are directed to bless someone you take it out of that account..God Bless God Loves a cheerful giver
Wrong on many levels. Where in the bible is the tithe described as "spiritual currency" and where in the bible are tithes received from earned wages? You really think that God obligates himself to bless people just because they pay money to a religious institution? That's absurd. Yes, biblical, systematic tithes were taxes specifically purposed for the Levitical theocracy, the poor, and for the festivals which began and ended under Mosaic Law. Only consumable items were accepted as tithe deliverables. No, there's nothing about systematic tithing in the garden of Eden, only offerings. And what Abram submitted to Melchizedek was a one-time gift from items he declared he wouldn't accept, not a systematic tithe. Abram gave away the rest of those items to the King of Sodom. There's no biblical evidence Abram ever "tithed" again. The bible doesn't present the option of monetizing a systematic tithe, with the possible exception of the redemption of it. That's something man invented after the bible was written. Malachi 3 was a narrative confined to the nation of Israel and further narrowed to the Levitical Priesthood in Malachi 2:1. And the tithe had nothing to do with money, only produce and livestock from within Israel. The "windows of heaven" is a simple reference to rain, not monetary blessings or anything else. "Meat in my house" is a literal reference. It has nothing to do with money. There's no such thing as a biblical tithe from earned wages. Jacob only promised a tithe IF God provided as he requested. There's no biblical evidence he ever paid a tithe. It's sad how people distort God's word to support ideals that aren't biblical. Giving is front and center in the Christian faith, money or otherwise, but there's no such thing as a biblical mandate for anyone to continuously pay 10% of their monetary earnings to a religious institution or anywhere else, nor is there any biblical promise of a blessing for doing so. We are free to give, not bound to pay.
In biblical times agriculture was their main form of wealth/income hence tithes were based on that. Now we have money, not agricultural produce hence tithes and offering are linked to money. At the end of the day its about putting God first whether it's your time or money. Because anything your love more than God is an idol.
@@nomaphelondzundzu Thanks for the feedback. Money was widely used in biblical times. In Genesis, money is mentioned several times. It's also evident money was paid as wages (Haggai 1:6). Tithes could be converted to money but not received as money (Deuteronomy 14:22-27). Only consumable items were received as systematic tithes. Leviticus 27:30 reads "A tithe of everything from the land, whether grain from the soil or fruit from the trees, belongs to the Lord; it is holy to the Lord". Once again, only consumable items. Why? Most likely because only that which is produced by God, natural items, can be considered Holy. Money is man-made, not God-made. I agree in terms of giving, which is front and center in the Christian faith, but God isn't a mob boss or a slot machine. Blessings in your giving.

@@chairwomanpurpose8126 Just sharing, that's all. I appreciate the exchanges, even if they're from a different point of view. I don't even know how to put together "a page". I simply direct those interested in scripture to specific verses that are hermeneutically interpreted. It happens that the subject of tithing has been of interest to me for several years so I've spent considerable time researching scripture related to that topic. Blessings!
Good Morning Dr. TRIMM. If am struggling with religion (finding a church home), at the moment am following on line, where should I give my tithe? Should I sow into those ministry's. I have prayed and the word says leave my gift at the altar and go and be reconciled to the Assembly. But there is so much irreconcilable error in the churches in this jurisdiction. This battle has been from birth. Am Anointed and am not boasting it is hard especially culturally. To much tradition and my call is higher and my daughter and I are still breaking through. My next question then is in stewardship is there another way in this instance (non-monetarily to tithe? THANKS AND HAPPY MOTHER'S DAY
Just my 2 cents... Sowing and reaping in the bible was a spiritual reference, not a monetary one. You're not biblically obligated to pay money to a religious institution or anywhere else, only to give cheerfully, not under compulsion. Gifts are discretionary, not mandatory, and although giving is front and center in the Christian faith, we are free to give, not bound to pay.
Where in the scripture gives the breakdown of the tithe- a dime or says that anyone (any church) is ordained as the Levites were to collect tithes on behalf of God?
Hey guys I have your answer. Read Malachi 3:10-18 and follow up with Leviticus 27:30 and then proverbs 3:9. It’s important that we study the word so that way you can discernment when others teach Gods word. @A D God gives us perspective based off of his word. When you study it and not just read it. It’s no different then you understanding your level of work and giving your perspective based off of your knowledge understanding of that work. I hope this fills you up! When you have a tithe account ( an account just for the tithe) then you won’t feel like you giving up what you don’t have.

when you get paid from work begin give 10% to you local church. take another 10% and pay yourself. with the 80% left pay the bills. most important to least. begin to cut out eating out (fast food) and shopping. do this for 30 days i promise you wont miss a beat but you will see an increase.

How did we come up with the tithes being money and not food how it was in back in the day?
Tithe is 10% of whatever represent your income source. If you watch what Jesus said in the NT, He said the pharisee and religious people tithe in both cash and all, and leave others undone, this you ought to have done without leaving the other undone. Giving whether it's tithe or seed or offering should be done in love and taking care of other moral and spiritual codes.
Jesus told the Pharisees that because they were still practicing levitical law and yet they still were unable to do THAT right. He was not talking to New Testament believers.
There is no such thing as a biblical tithe on earned wages.
Great teaching!! Thank you Dr Trimm 🙌🏿🙌🏿🔥🔥
May God bless me through wisdom and smartest so I will become a bountiful tither.

I just listen to archbishop Nicholas Duncan speak on this. He is also really good on binding spirits.. and declaring things great video

@@FriendofYahweh29 Once again there is no such thing as a biblical tithe on earned wages and no mandate or requirement to give to a religious institution or anywhere else.

Truth, teaching in the Word of God

@@ms.5779 **Isaiah 58 discusses fasting and honoring the Sabbath. It does not discuss the tithe.

Yes. Hello👋🏾👋🏾👋🏾👋🏾
Thku
Tithes are known fact as a mysterious blessings from God.
Hello everyone
I tithe because all I have is because of God
I am blessed and I don't Tithe. I don't have a conviction that it's a spiritual principle for the Second Covenant Family of God.
So I thought too. Blessed indeed, however tithing exceeds the natural blessing.
@@theorama5711 When I say I am blessed I means all blessing made available to the church I have access to by finished work of Calvary.
For salaried employees is tithe 10% of income before or after tax?
Why is tithes money when it seemed back in the day it was food ?
@@octaviakf food/farming was money to them, a symbol of their wealth.
Do we pay the tithe to the church?
Neither. There's no such thing as a biblical, systematic tithe received from earned wages. If one chooses to "tithe" from their earnings today, it's their choice whether it's from the gross or net.
I found information about where to tithe if anyone is interested 😊
Question to any one on this platform, where in the new testament does Jesus himself teaches on tithing or the disciples tithing that coincide with tithing in the old?
In the New Testament tithing is mentioned 3 times, Matthew 23:23, Hebrews 7:4, Luke 18:12. However, systematic tithing began and ended under the Old covenant and only consumable items were accepted as tithe deliverables. There's no biblical evidence that Jesus or the disciples collected or paid tithes or taught as a practice after the New Covenant.
If we are to Tithe to our father house, that means the church? Or Anywhere of choice since everything belongs to God?
Tithe is to be paid to a church. Your home church. The church home that you are eating spiritually

God was talking to the Levitical priests in Malachi because they had fallen away from collecting the tithe . The 11 tribes had to pay Levi because Levi did not have an inheritance, God was Levi's inheritance. Where in scripture does the tithe support the New Testament church?
It doesn't
It speaks of A Love offering

Can tithing be considered as a form of worship?
So who's the money for
The poor... It's supposed to
Wrong on many levels.

Good Morning Dr. TRIMM. If am struggling with religion (finding a church home), at the moment am following on line, where should I give my tithe? Should I sow into those ministry's.
