Timeless video . Been coming back to watch for years and seems to always hit true . Theres a funny sense about looking back on life and knowing it couldn’t have been any other way… even if in the moment you wanted reality to be different…

"All the efforts I was making, to gain controll or stay in controll of my life, I dont need to make them, its simplifies my life" Love that - so deeply liberating.

This dialogue, The Controller, certainly has become a classic in Advaita. The sense of ease and subtle humour in this video pours forth what Lucille calls "The Perfume", the deep resonance of peace and presence.

Ah yes, the final step the illusion of giving up of illusory control, give up all personal will. Hard to completely let go all the time though, isn't it?

Otto Frinta you don't let go, letting go happens when you Understand. When that's established, that you never had control, then letting go can happen and that can be pretty terrifying to the whole system, so the knowledge that really you never had control seems to prepare one for that, whether one wants it or not haha
I know in my case I'd had some level of understanding before i met my teacher Ramesh Balsekar many years ago, Afterwards i was just steeped in the investigation of this never having any control for a few years. His suggestion was just to look at ones day and look for where one had any control. So a few years in and after a divorce and a fairly serious illness it got pretty real haha.. so this immense and relentless energy and pressure built up to the point of a kind of terror of the fear of death.. then somehow that investigation must have dome its job because there was some surrender to it which led to a dissolution of all sense perceptions and grasping to existing itself.. an inexplicable experience which led to losing the fear of death itself .. but more than that a kind of reuniting with the Self I've always been, completely free of anything phenomenal. So then it became experiencially clear that phenomena arise within this universal me of consciousness and that's even more clear over the years. But it all comes down to that simple knowledge that i have no control.. its a lot more potent than it seems this investigation

@TinSoldierPhoenix Its a 'moot' point if you really accept it, yet to add to that, I can share what I have heard in response to this question from a sage, which is: "Do whatever there is to do next, do whatever your naturally inclined, according to your own unique pre-disposition (conditioning) You were never doing, yet all along life was happening 'though' you"
