This reminds me the Joueur du Grenier video about weird beat em ups like this. Also Incredible technology made Street Fighter the movie the game and Time Killers/Bloodstorms. Nice.

Unlike Time Killers, I actually had fun playing this Strata game! The only snag that I have with Ninja Clowns is that the gypsy sprites don't seem to be in the actual gameplay, though you can see one in this game's advertisement flyer and box, you see two gypsies in the Big Top part on the map screen, and you can see one at the ending. There is not even a GFX displayer for this game, or at least there isn't one confirmed by MAMEUIFX32. Such a crying shame...
In some cases I question who the villain really is, the people the clown is fighting or the clown himself. In some of the levels it seems the guy just goes around beating up random pedestrians and cops. And I never really associated Elvis with the accordion.
