Some are occasionally useful, like washi tapes when I need to wrap a gift/ decorate an envelope in 15'. Some are waiting in line to be used, like notebooks, pens, a binder and loose leaf paper, and highlighters. The leftover stationery stash since high school are still in my drawers, waiting to be used. Most of them are cheap and common gel pens in Vietnam and refills. Plus, although I don't like nor use ballpoint pens much, I got a stash of lost ballpoint pens that ppl dropped/ intentionally left behind. I gave a lot of those to my cousins and my mom's office, but I still have a cup full of ballpoints in basic colors. So, just use what you have first. Or give them away before buying more. Because I move (accomodation) quite a lot, having too much to pack is such a burden.
In highschool I was always the one with the big sprial notebooks and 3-ring binders. I had so many people partner up with me in class b/c they thought I was a top-notch note taker and an A+ student. I never had the heart to tell them I was writing Inuyasha/Kagome fic, and my grades were in the toilet

I don't use those in school though because I need the convience of a spiral bound notebook so I use the apica ones and cover them in vintage style washi tape.
I’m a mix of a book lover, studygrammer, and doodler. I think I used to be an overachiever but after college I left that life behind and just became more laid back. I love all the vintage stuff of the booklover (lots of vintage notebooks, pens, and stickers), I have all the colorful color-coded instruments of the studygrammer (used both in my journal and academic notebooks for graduate school), and I love customizing everything I have not only with doodle drawings but also with stickers, washi tape, and stamps.
My parents' bank account is super happy I finished high school in 2000, before Japanese stationery was widely available in America 😂 I had mead five-star spiral notebooks unless a class required a 3-ring, and I didn't know any better than bic classic stic pens and basic mechanical pencils 😂
As a fellow doodler for longer than I can tell, might I add that doodlers usually have a good eraser with them? Like Tombow Mono, Pentel Ain, Staedtler, Stabilo, Faber-Castell, Sakura etc.
I love how for the math nerd everything needed to be precise and small and then you have my multivariable calculus class where everyone either had an ipad to fix things later, one ruled notebook to messily scribble examples, or just a phone for quick notes (though I will say my study group did go through way too many dry erase markers this semester)
When I was in school, (college), I studied math almost exclusively. I however, hated pencil because of their tendency to smear. I used a mead composition notebook, with a different color per class. I split my notebook to 2 separate notebook, {1 pre-midterm, 1 post-midterm}. The reason I choose composition notebooks was it is hard to remove pages, and it kept my notes in order. [My organizational skill were pretty bad in college, but got better.] I also used ballpoint pens instead of pencils, because I wanted to be able to reference my notes after college. (I was Studying to be a Math teacher.) Ironically, I didn't need a straight edge, or a compass that often; it was only one class of 8 I think. I wish I would have been able to use the pen style compass with .5mm lead though. These days I use a Kokuyo Systemic (A5) with {Kokuyo Campus Diary, A Franklin Planner (Compass), & Apica CD11 Notebook in the back (for extra notes). I use a Lihit Lab Bookstyle pen case (upgrading to a triple) with .38mm G2 Pens in 4 colors w/ Pilot Frixion Highlighers, for color coding purposes. I also use a Pilot Frixion Multi pen for appointments. The planner I use has a 4mm rule, so I use Kokuyo kenshipita 4mm correction tape for mistakes. This is a good system for taking organized notes. [hint: the Franklin Planner essentially is on the left side a like Gregg Rule {to do list, w/ Appointment List}, and on the right a lined page with margin. Page is pre-dated for the same day. I don't take a lot of notes these days, so it is perfect. But the notes side can always be turned into an index for other notebooks. Just swap out the back notebook for each class.
I relate the most to over achiever 😂 minus the achieving part, my adhd ass could never but I do stick with once black pen and a highlighter. Large pen collections for studying just overwhelms me

It's almost like your products were made for this bag!
Sometimes the one with busy schedule does put times for colour highlighting and picking stationaries.. but those products are worth to buy. I love them ❤️
I'd love to add "the Italian mechatronics student": a kokuyo stainless steel ruler for quick conversion tabs and a zero-starting ruler, and a jetstream 4&1, you erase the pen by scribbling over what you wrote and erase the pencil with the built-in eraser, occasional squares for drafting and a 0.7 mm pencil with a B lead for contours and draft informations
Aw, a studygrammer got me into pens ages ago because she left behind a black Sakura gelly roll by accident and I just loved taking notes with it, she didn't want it back the next day and was happy I liked gel pens. We were the only two people doing the work on a group project of six people for a project in junior college and bonded a bit over how to get out of the situation with an A+, which we totally pulled off. I've really never used anything less than a Gelly Roll or a Pilot G2 since then.
I am the DOODLER and I love doodling in my rough work cause I live in India and here you don't take random notes, only some schools allow it. We just write normal question answers in our notebooks and lern it for our tests. But yes I do keep my books colourful atlest by highlighting very important points and yes I do have many colours of highlighters. Great video!!
Hello! I also love doodling because I like puting small drawings on my notes. I just read your comment and I don't undestand it when you said that you write questions instead of note. Can you please explain it? From Spain (I didn't mean it on a bad way I just have too much curiosity and I think it's great to learn from other countries .゚+.(・∀・)゚+.゚)
I've not been a student for sometime now but I remember still how much my taste changed. I was that student who started the year with either multiple notebooks or a mighty binder. Then I would end it up with just one general notebook that only I could make sense of. Yes, I know. Weird as Hell. As for stationery, believe me: I tried it all. But I mostly set for gel pens, generally 0.7mm. Fat multipens could also go into the play. I just hated pencil. I still do. I tried to do everything that I could in ink. Even if I had to rewrite it all multiple times to make it look pretty.
I am a doodling book lover with a touch of overachiever. I do like some gel pens, but prefer fountain and notebook paper with micro-perforations for teachers that don't like the rings/tails of some notebook paper.
I've been out of college for decades but I've always been the Book Lover, even with my pink hair and goth/metal dress aesthetic lol. Been a fan of book darts for ages and fountain pens and my notes were always neat because I wrote in manuscript (my cursive was pretty yikes). I love all of the stationery types, but I just don't get the Studygrammer though, lol.
Can't say I fall into any of these categories, though I can relate to the overachiever in many ways. I'm taking 15 credits right now and holding down an A in every class. Anatomy & Physiology, Medical Terminology, Chemistry, Algebra, and Nursing Assistance. My supplies currently is a Pilot S20 0.3mm mechanical pencil, Pilot S20 0.7 Black Ballpoint pen, and arriving in 3 days from jetpens, the Pilot S30 Mechanical Pencil and F, H leads! I like nice things and taking pride in what I do. I'm not so much a fan of writing long essays but having supplies that you enjoy really does help you take more pride in what you do and gets you excited to use them, even if you're not excited to do the homework that comes with it. I might pick up a better eraser, though, and perhaps a pen/pencil organiser I can slide into my laptop bag. PS JetPens, if you read this please try and get the BRFN-30EF 0.5mm ink refills! I really love my S20 pen but I really wish I had a finer point and I cannot find this size anywhere without spending $40 on shipping ):
I'm studygrammer and over achiever depending on the class. This just made me want to buy all the pens so if this youtube channel is in any way a marketing plan for jetpens it is working!
4:17 I love the tombow mono 2way, but I am unfortunately not an overachiever. Although I wish I was. But maybe I am a little cuz I have overachiever stationery??
I’m definitely the book lover but I’m also obsessed with light and pastel Color’s they’re just so pretty 🤩 Edit: btw I’m book lover, STUDYGRAMMER and doodler
me, who shifts through all the categories over my high school years: I see, nice stuff there. like literally, I went from book lover to doodler to studygrammer to overachiever to math whiz. I am taking computer science in university, so I guess that'd made me still the math whiz style. I used pen for math work though. I kept making mistakes when using pencil because my mind unconsciously wanted to use the old eraser I owned so I can buy a new one already.
Throughout the whole school years I’ve had a habit of doodling or serious drawing in my books and even the fsa test book I’ve been called out many times by the teacher and other staff TwT
I'm not included in this category but I'm the stationery hoarder. I have so many pens & pencils I ended up storing the lesser-used ones in tupperware containers lol... though can't help bringing home more 😅
the Nerd/ Scientist type would be a combination of Book lover and Math Whiz. Add a bunch of color-coded stationery and you get an elementary/ kindergarten teacher.
Tbh when studying I use only 2pen(black & blue) and if needed another pink pen for diagram annotation. And I write on muji grid paper. I study body anatomy, clinical care, physiology therapy, social work, case management and more.
When I was in 6th grade I used to have 2 pencil cases, a ton of pens, a box of 60 colored pencil and more than 10 highlighters and about 30 different pens. I was not the only one, though, many others girls where at the same level or even exceeded me. One day, a teacher said we were not gonna use more than one pen, a pencil and an eraser and one really thick notebook for everything by the time we got to high school. And she was more than right. Today, in 11th grade, I only use one pen and a tiny notebook that fits into my hand. I'm the most extreme example of what she said I can possibly think of haha
Should we make a video on different college majors and what supplies they use? Let us know by liking and commenting!
Yes please! I would enjoy that quite a lot! (Bonus points if you work aerospace engineering into it :3 )
That would be fantastic. As an education major, we have lots of highlighters and lots of colored pens.
Yes, please! Plus I'm sure there's stuff the majors would also use once they've graduated, like business majors
Yes! Do one for enviro people who work out in the field. Waterproof stuff and compact things
Please please include art majors!
if i fall into all the categories does that mean i should buy all the stationery? 👀😳
Yes. Yes it does.
No. No it doesn’t.

Book lover, studygrammer, doodler. I enjoy my Jetpens items in my stash.
Can you guys make a video on best pen pouches to store single pens, like loops for individual rotring pens ?
Thank you
I am a mix of a bit of the doodler and much of the book lover!
I am falling into every category 😂that means I should own everything in this video 😂
I'm studygrammer and over achiever depending on the class. This just made me want to buy all the pens so if this youtube channel is in any way a marketing plan for jetpens it is working!
Book lovers would definitely use fountain pens :)
If I fit in to all of these, is that a problem?
Of course not! ;)
1:44 not to throw shade but to throw shade, lowkey agree with them 😗😗
4:17 I love the tombow mono 2way, but I am unfortunately not an overachiever. Although I wish I was. But maybe I am a little cuz I have overachiever stationery??
All of them 😄😄😊😊i love to do everything!!
this is such a fun video!
Thank you! :)
i dont have a studygram account but I use all the stuff that mentioned in studygram section lol being aesthetic to all your notes is necessary.
I love how this video is kind of stereotyping people but also sponsoring there products😊
Probably the study grammer and there is also a but of an overachiever in me, btw love this video, going to check out all the stationary soon
I’m definitely the book lover but I’m also obsessed with light and pastel Color’s they’re just so pretty 🤩
Edit: btw I’m book lover, STUDYGRAMMER and doodler
Overachiever is my style ♥️
So right of the book lover
2:15 YOOOOOOO THE HONEY AND CLOVER MANGA!!!!!!!!
These kind of RUclips videos are my favorite.
me, who shifts through all the categories over my high school years: I see, nice stuff there.
like literally, I went from book lover to doodler to studygrammer to overachiever to math whiz. I am taking computer science in university, so I guess that'd made me still the math whiz style. I used pen for math work though. I kept making mistakes when using pencil because my mind unconsciously wanted to use the old eraser I owned so I can buy a new one already.
I am surely a doodler and overachiever! I mess up on my notes and I switch on pens a lot and draw a lot random stuff in my notebooks lol.
Throughout the whole school years I’ve had a habit of doodling or serious drawing in my books and even the fsa test book I’ve been called out many times by the teacher and other staff TwT
I'm not included in this category but I'm the stationery hoarder. I have so many pens & pencils I ended up storing the lesser-used ones in tupperware containers lol... though can't help bringing home more 😅
1 is always not enough maybe you need to do a series in it!!!!
🎉🎉🎉🎉
I'm probably the studygrammer. I mean ' ya gotta study anyway, so why not make it look cute? ' that's like, my motto!
The bad boy with the black pens and or fountain pens
the Nerd/ Scientist type would be a combination of Book lover and Math Whiz. Add a bunch of color-coded stationery and you get an elementary/ kindergarten teacher.
I’m a math whiz and overachiever because I am obsessed with math and I play softball, volleyball, cross country and do cheer, dance, and tumbling
I’m definitely a book lover
Tbh when studying I use only 2pen(black & blue) and if needed another pink pen for diagram annotation. And I write on muji grid paper. I study body anatomy, clinical care, physiology therapy, social work, case management and more.
I love the way miss girl says Sarasa
I can see myself being friends with Doodler Girl and we would do the Doodle Dance lol
I’m the studygrammer, doodler, and definitely the overachiever!
i'm insulted that there's no academic failure option
I fall in studygram, book lover and doodler!!
I go into 3 categories 😂book lover, studygrammar ,doodler, and a little bits of math wiz and overachiever
I love the disclaimer also I love the study grammar
I really love this video sooo much!!!!
Can you make a video on different types learner also pls.
Thanks.
I am a book lover indeed but I also have a stationary addiction......
1:54 lol shading muji🤣
please tell me who the heck writes that neat lol and the handwriting is just very immaculate 💖🤩
Really all nice , Thanks .
This channel makes the best studying content 😌
Really aesthetic 💫🌻
