    Hey Man. I am not really a Ford guy, but I will stick around for moral support and see how it goes. You never know what will come my way. This procedure will work on all makes of trucks. I was too quick to make a comment about a Ford guy. Sorry. I must say that your welds are very good. The overall video was put together well. It will surely help out any gearhead out. Thanks for sharing. See you in the next one. 🍁👍👍

  • @ryanbean2209

    Just FYI to others...the leaf spring on the passenger side appears to have had the rear shackle inverted. This could have happened when it was on the lift with the axle dangling from the leaf spring at full droop. Then when the truck is lowered the shackle that bolts to the frame bracket got kicked rearward instead of the direction it should go. Look at the driver side shackle in the first part of the video and you'll see what I'm saying. Not taking away from the Outcast kit...it looks really nice. Just thought someone else might run into this and want to know how they might fix the issue without feeling like they have to make a major change. Keep up the great work on the truck!

    The sleafs in the lower chock mounting is not because they had to thin bolts but it allows the coilover to move so your car have actually a moving suspension.
    Without the sleaf and a thicker bolt you have got a blocked suspension.

    THOSE WHEEL SPACERS ARE DANGEROUS! You need to run "hub-centric" wheel spacers or you run the risk of shearing off the wheel studs.

      Well yes I got it off eBay from an outfit in Georgia that specializes in late model musclecar salvage. I also bought my 5.0 coyote motor with a 2.9 Whipple and 6R 80 transmission from them

    Any idea how long those rear Viking coil overs are. I’m having a tough time finding a 12”-13” rear coil over for my 59 Apache. Most of the ones I found are for the front. There won’t be much for weight back there and don’t want it riding like a chuck wagon.

    I've watched most of your RUclips videos and I'm impressed with how you have transformed your F100. I assume that you are in the Dallas area. Would you be willing to do a Crown Vic front end swap on my 1967 Ford F100? Let me know how much for parts & labor and maybe we can work a deal where you can create a whole new video series using my truck!

    Nice job, but in full compression your pan hard bar bracket on the axle side looks like it will contact your bed.

    • @330_garage3
      @330_garage3  3 года назад

      I'm not sure how far that suspension can compress.. but you are correct, the pumpkin on the axle housing would be able to contact the bed floor... but that would be a Dukes of Hazzard style impact... time will tell.. its possible I went too low and will need to modify the bed floor.....

    I've been looking at the myriad of 4 link Chinese kits being sold on Ebay. They are just too anemic looking for me. This kit is real quality, and I'd end up paying 3 times what I'd pay for the others. That's the only part that hurts. It would push $1500. dollars by the time you got it shipped to you. But....I wouldn't lose any sleep over them breaking and falling out of my truck and getting me killed either. I have a 9" inch Ford rear-end. I hope they fit it.

    It's been two weeks since you posted the video but you should really think about stainless steel brake lines before you put your truck on the road. You won't have to worry about them rotting out and they look better too.

    Great video as usual. Outcast has some excellent products. I have a few of their items going in my project.
    Few questions:
    1. For the price what made you go this route vs. S550 or Lincoln IRS? I would think you may be able to come out cheaper with one of those, but maybe more labor? I'm planning to run the Explorer 8.8 SUA, just curious why you went this route.
    2. Swaybar - When you are remounting a factory swaybar such as this, why not switch to something else more robust? You are already redesigning the mounts and it's already not being used in a stock manner, etc?

    • @330_garage3
      @330_garage3  3 года назад +2

      Thanks! I personally think the S550 IRS is too wide and doesn't allow the truck to sit as low as most guys want it to sit. Not to mention the amount most guys hack out of the frame to weld that S550 in seems excessive. The S550 is supposed to be bolted to the vehicle with bushings.
      The swaybar is the one that came with the 8.8. I wanted to get a baseline for how the truck is going to handle before I buy a heavier swaybar. I didn't feel like the amount of effort was bad, just moving it around a little. If I upgrade it in the future.. it will be some more work, but I wouldn't imagine more than an afternoon's worth the effort.
