well, there's a trick about Prepositions with transportation which is (anything you can walk in it) Use = "On" for instance :
( "on the bus", "On the subway", "On the ship" and "on the plane), On the contrary (anything you CAN NOT walk in it) Use = in
for instance : ("In the car", "in a truck" and "in a helicopter") >> so bottom line : If you must sit inside the vehicle, we use in.
(it is almost impossible to stand in them.) --------- If you can stand or walk on the vehicle, then we use on.
i hope that's helpful for anybody! and of course ,, i agree with you ,, we have to learn prepositons in context ... ^_^

OMG! Without missing out on respect, you're the most beautiful english teacher in the whole world. Your eyes, your skin, your smile, your hair, you fleshy lips, your face. Wow, how can I learn this way? I can't hear anything you say, while I'm staring at you, beholding your beauty. You're gorgeous.

At night I take a walk with my friend. I'm overwhelmed with happyness because something good had happen today. Because of the lockdown many people are under pressure it's too much.

This transmission is even better than the last one, the sound improved 50% or more. Keep it or increase the sound a little bit more. The way you use it to explain yourself becomes much easier to understand. I keep following your channel. Moisés, from Brazil.

Hi Emma! The best explanations! I heard other explanations about the “at” from an English teacher, “at” is “act” only without the letter “c”. The point is that "at" is used in a place where it is obvious from the context that some kind of action is supposed "at == act". For example, a “student at school” assumes that the student takes some actions - to study, answer to the teacher, take tests, talking, etc. What do you think about it? Reviewing your lessons over and over again, thank you.
