I have been watching a few of his videos on the blazer making
I still don't have his answer , I have asked him 2 times to give me the final garment chest measurement
meaning after the blazer jacket is finished , if I measure the chest 1 " below the Armhole what would the measurement be his respond " Ok Thank you " ?
1. First of all there is no way that the front length from HPS is the same as the back length
2. Square neckline ? No not good at all
3. There is no sense into making a collar stand the way he made it, it has no function, the collar stand is made to aid the collar
when folded therefore it should have spring , hard to explain in words, but an invisible dart should be created between the collar stand and the collar.
4. the way the collar is drafted when finished and rolled , it would never cover the neckline cause there is not sufficient outside collar length. Plus on a tailored jacket the under collar is not self its canvas and you don't put any seam allowances on it.
There was another thing about the pocket position , but I have to go back to the video, I will make another post.
All in all the results here is a jkt made by a sidewalk tailor in India, I spent a lot of time there places like New Delhi , Calcutta , Madras etc. They are not known for suit making , hell first time I went there in 1980 they never even seen a suit, just because they were occupied by the English for 50 years doesn't mean they know English tailoring, sorry but I am speaking the truth.
