FLY FISHING LATE SUMMER HOPPERS IN IDAHO

- My best friend Brett Downs from Missoula, MT came down to visit me at my summer pad, the trailer under the water tower in Picabo, Idaho. We did all sorts of fishing but had to get the drift boat wet. We chose a very big river and a 13 mile float. At first, we struggled to get bites, but hoppers were the most productive deep in structure, tight to the bank and of course, in the side channels.

why no pfd for the dog?
I don’t normally use hoppers due to the rivers near me but I wanted to ask if you think there’s a difference between letting it drift down the river or stripping it in?
defiantly want to have that hopper drifting down and lightly twitching it adds movement but not too much.
Did you leave the bow line with Derek L in AK?
I like your dog

The last I heard, when the sun goes down in Idaho, you have to stop fishing. Did that law change?
