2:19 in the Philippines we call that boodlefight except that all the foods are mixed together and not separated. People would bring their own food then a large banana leaves would be laid down where they will mix all the foods. On some occasions, as a form of entertainment. we also hide some chilis on the food and whoever eats it is the winner. Though this practice is more commonly seen in the military.

They can be very annoying though. I have had no TV in my home since I left my parents in 1973. (They had a TV, but I never really got in the habit of watching it.) For more years than I care to remember, I have received threatening letters most months, demanding that I buy a licence or tell them that I don't watch, and threatening legal action, huge fines, etc. If I inform them that I don't watch, they won't believe me and "may still visit to inspect". So I ignore them, and when they visit, they get short shrift. We were anticipating getting a free licence on reaching age 75, just to stop the letters, but there's a rumour that will be stopped before we qualify. How annoying is that! The amount of licence payers' money wasted on this over the years must be ridiculous. I'm glad none of that money was mine!

@@Goldi-Luc Not really - some countries use taxation to fund their public service TV, we use a TV Licence which puts it at arms length from Government and the BBC's charter puts it editorially free from influence from the Government but the Government still controls how much we pay for it.
Currently (adjusting for the cost of living) we're paying less on average per channel than we did in 1933 when BBC TV first started

Still there are abundant use of banana leaves can be seen. I personally prefer it over ceramic plates or thermocol plates during various ceremonial occasions.
