@@HomeChannelTV what does linear tiled drains mean or can you tell me at what minute mark in the video that is shows that or a website link to show it?
I love the light blues and marble countertops. But white floors in the bathroom show every hair Too dark may not look right. Maybe the wood tile might work.
We bought a house once that had a beautiful huge walk in shower with no doors. It was for accessibility issues for the people that lived there prior to us. It was gorgeous!!! Guess what though? It was freezing! It was too big and wide open to ever get steamy. Also, terribly hard to keep up with cleaning it.
Agreed. 👍 I love ours too, but yes lack of ability to build up steam. The zero threshold and space is excellent. It would be nice to add a door to allow it to build up a little steam.
That sounds like a beautiful feature, but I can see how the open space would make it tough to keep warm and clean! Sometimes, even the most gorgeous designs have their challenges. lol
This is good but I would replace the mirror and light with extra large vanity makeup mirrors, they come with an auto dimmer and add a hotel like feel to the space, it’s exellent
Being darker finishes they would show more water spots/ deposits than chrome or pewter. Oil rub bronze fixtures would show water spots as well, but a simple wipe takes care of most. Over time all fixtures can show a build up, especially if hard water is an issue. But with regular cleaning (try a vinegar and water mixture) should take care of those issues. As for the finish coming off… that can happen over time with many chrome and pewter fixtures as well. My advice is to go with the look you want, and do normal cleaning and maintenance and you should get a good life out of them. Thanks for watching and have fun with the project.😀
Weird ask, but is it possible to have 2 toilets in a single bathroom? Like his/hers? I keep seeing 2 sinks and a tub and shower combo. Why not 2 toilets like walled off or enclosure for privacy? And then the separate closets could be on either side.
Not sure what supplier the builder used for the mirror, but Lowes has large mirrors with the black frames (in a variety of styles) - www.lowes.com/pl/bathroom-mirrors/black/oversized-50-in-h-and-above/4294737205-4294820005-1490958216 .... Hope this helps .... Thanks for watching!
Big showers are fine but I don't like the idea of sacrificing the tub for it. You never have a long day and just want to soak in hot water for a little while? You get both with the typical shower/tub combo. Unless maybe you're a senior citizen or have issues stepping in. But even then you could get a walk in tub
great points ... bathroom designs that can fit both that would be ideal. Soaker tubs are nice to have. But there has been a big shift towards larger showers lately, especially ones with seats. Thanks for watching and commenting!
If someone is planning a remodel or new home build, there are a lot of looks and features that are not too costly to do. Just nice to see all the things that are happening out there before a person builds or remodels. Thanks for watching.
Tile floors are ideal for bathrooms because it can handle water and moisture without getting damage. using a matte finish would help a little, but all tiles will experience some level of slipperiness. I would recommend using bath mats around showers and tubs and even sinks for help against that. Porcelain is a little more durable than ceramic, but both are good. Hope that helps, Thanks for commenting 👍
for flooring maybe stick with a matte finish instead of polished. Also bath mats for immediate areas around shower, tub or sinks. Thanks for watching !!
I haven't seen too much change in the vanity tops, most builders and remodelers are staying with lighter colors for the surfaces no matter what color the vanity is. Folks are installing stone (usually quartz) in the owner's bath and maybe a cultured marble in the secondary bath. That's what I have been seeing. Thanks for asking and watching!! Take care.
Less grout is in deed welcome. I follow the TCNA guidelines PERIOD. TheThe big and only big factor to influence your bathroom are the fixtures. They will effect your design for your bathroom. Satin nickel vs crome, or gold, or whatever. Even high end fixtures cannot survive hard water. Think of time and use.....and make better decisions.

Love that idea!!!
Has anyone tried the Orcarain shower? What kind of showerhead is the best?
Have not heard of Orcarain …. but see a lot of Moen and Kohler …. both have some good quality fixtures.
OMG, this Bathroom is GORGEOUS!!!! Where is the vanity from?
The builder uses Dura Supreme Cabinetry. - www.durasupreme.com/
@@HomeChannelTV Thank you so much!!!!
Also floor tiles need to be matte or rough texture for no slip .
totally agree!
I was told in the tile store that matt black fixtures( love ) are not practical as they show everything and rust/paint comes off easy? Is this true?

Yes, it's true. I have one. Not happy.

Excellent

Have not seen one on my tours, but have seen several with a toilet and bidet. A his/ her set bathroom setup could be a good idea

So many of these "Trends" look great and can work for wealthy clients who have no problem with updating them when the style quickly becomes outdated.

Good information but I thought it wasn’t wise to use porcelain on floors because of how easily you can slip and fall on them?

Larger tiles on the floor = slippery when wet.
probably best to use bath mats around the areas of the shower, tubs and sink no matter what tile you choose. Thanks for watching!
I had them. Zero issues
