Not even going to try and change the opinion of others, Fireworks and this song are fucking amazing. Neverbloom is still my favorite album, but i can't give the band flack for changing up the sound and doing it this well. They are talented songwriters that know what they're doing, whichever direction they choose i am confident they'll write bangers.

the album ain't great if you're looking for "ear raping" requiem style... there's probably 1 song that gets close to it (vortex), but not even that...the other 9 songs are more "smooth" sounding like this one
Sarah Alvior if you like this song, you will love the entire album. All the 10 songs have the same ambiance but it's so amazing, even though I prefer how they used to be, this album is very impressive and very good, especially for the vocals !

I think all the people who aren't getting the sound of this album so far don't understand what a musical motif is. It's a succession of notes tied to a concept that are in relation to the subject, hence why Ether, Fireworks and Uncharted sound familiar.
The subject, from my understanding, is the exploration of childhood innocence and imagination. So in association with those thoughts, the three songs follow a similar chord progression to remind you of the story being told is connected through those succession of notes.
Pink Floyd did the same thing when they did The Wall, Shine on You Crazy Diamond, and Darkside of the Moon. I imagine Make Them Suffer is inspired by those albums and wanted to capture something within the same vein.

Because people will always complain when band changes their style, Same thing happened to In Flames, Parkway Drive, etc. Of course it ain't as heavy as Neverbloom but I like this album even more.

Uncharted, Fireworks and Ether (I'm gonna count that one in too) are perfect songs on their own, but I'm a little sceptical about the album now after listening to this song. They just sound too familiar. I really hope the other songs will make the album as refreshing as Old Souls was.
Honestly, the melody playing in this song always puts me in a good mood.

They have evolved into an amazing diverse and transcending musicians. Their music has literally made me cry on every album. This is the only band I think I'd cry watching. I'm in love with their music and that's that... :,)

Discovered this song, or more like Re-discovered it. Uncharted you could say, it is so beautiful. I love the Melody a lot, as soon as I may healed from my shitty illness and am able to use my finger again, I'll have to cover it.
It may not be as brutal as neverbloom... but they still hit hard and still have that creepy sound behind... they're still awesome tbh

Maaaaan every album you guys release sounds completely different than the last. I swear, sometimes it feels like I'm listening to a different band but fucking hell ye do it so well. You're quickly rising to the top of my favorite metal band list.

This band is evolving in the best of ways. Slowly yet they are keeping what make them sound different from the others without losing that heavy sound. Make Them Suffer has always done something better than almost any other band out there, and that is lyrics. I'M STOKED!
