The render I made for the latest challenge was one of my favourite artworks I have ever made. I've been a little uninspired and creatively burned out the last couple of weeks. I will definitely take part in this challenge and I hope I can stretch my boundaries and make something unique and personal!
I have a smal question, if you aim to compile the challenges into a video afterwardz, would you prefer we didn't put any music and especially copyright music right? maybe so you can then use your own music in the video?
If you want to add music to enhance the submission, then you absolutely can, and I will certainly take that into consideration when reviewing the entries (sound design is a skill that should be celebrated). However if we get enough submissions to do a compilation, I will likely put other music over the top, or fade in and out of submission audio. It all really depends on what people come up with. 😊
OH DUDE!!! Someone should do the reveal of the contents of the brief case in Pulp Fiction!! :-O That would be AMAZING!!! Its a bit out of my focus area now that I'm running a business, but I just had that idea pop into my head and had to share it. :-D
I like the idea of the target being optional, allows winners to still be willing to submit if their idea feels different. And the longer deadline should let me enter this time. May the best 🖌 win!
Curtis, do you think Blender has a future? I think my job of what I was training to do is DEAD - indie game developer. I mean, I can still do it, but it will be non-technical within a year. All AI based development - one year from now - guarantee it - full 3d games with excellent shaders and post effects. Just tell chat GPT what to make... I don't know that I still have motivation to push hard anymore when my skills simply won't be needed. I guess I need to learn to make them with ChatGPT and follow that evolution. Oc, they can easily replace dental hygienist with AI machines, most restaurant employees, truckers, lawyers, doctors, some surgeons, most surgical helpers - the robot will help. Most jobs of our society right now are either manufactured (made up), or barely necessary. They can't handle the switch to socialism, and thus funding/provoking a war. hamas is being used by the rich.
Your frames are normal in the visual arts world for display of physical visual art and photography. i do use these sorts of frames, as i use acrylic sheeting in my art works, I also have some designs for other acrylic displays that i produce for visual artworks, its good to see you for creating the competition based in creativity, and correct to not allow AI produced works, that is a good thing and shouldn't be controversial. Congrats regardless!🖌
🖌 How did you know I was already making an animation of a high-tech box opening up?! 😆 I'm actually thinking of taking part in this, even if I didn't already have 90% of the modelling already done. Good thing that the deadline is in two months; it'll probably take that long to render it out in cycles. Also, continuing the psychic theme, I've recently been looking into low-poly modelling to take the strain off of my poor frankensteined laptop. Suddenly there's a sale for some quality low-poly assets that I now am considering grabbing. It's like the universe is telling me something. I still need to grab nView v3, too! Darn the lack of small green pieces of paper!
