The saddest part is him saying he stays with her so his daughter doesn't have a broken home. A broken home is any dynamic that is toxic and untrustworthy. Two people “staying” together for the sake of a child but abusing another in the process is broken. IMO

IMO, if it gets to the point where you feel you need to follow someone or have their phone unlocked, the relationship is already over because the trust is gone.
