Just received my new generator today, got it all set up and ready to go for the next blackout. Great price and it started right up no problems. Delivery was nice and quick, they even put it in the garage.
I'm in SW Florida and without power too. As bad as it was, this storm could have been so much worse. Thanks for posting and good luck with the rest of the season.

Good luck down there man! I was on the "totally illegal back feed" system for a while but finally setup an external plug to feed the generator in and a lockout slider added to the panel to the main breaker has to be off to have the generator feed on and to the panel. I can then chose the circuits to run from there but "can" run anything I want off it. Not that is matters currently, but the lockout was like $60 and they have then for all sorts of panels! Godspeed man!
Thanks. I'll have to check that out. We have power once again so I can finally get back to a "normal" routine. But, I'll be better prepared for the next time we loose power.
I’d like to purchase this one. Need to power up my electric pressure washer. Will it fit in the bed of my pickup? I have a bed cover. So I’m hoping it isn’t too tall.
Thanks for the video, I picked up one of these a few days after the irma was very surprised to find it. I did not lose power luckily this time. I haven't set it up yet but was wonder where the oil going, thanks for pointing it out.
I’ve had mine for three years now starts first pull every time I bought mine because we live in the mountains in Southern California in the forest fires are almost every year the longest I’ve been without electricity is three weeks. When I drain the oil I use tinfoil to divert it to my pan no mess and I have a long flex funnel To put the oil in it makes it a lot easier. So far it’s been a great little generator I can’t complain
excellent genny. i have a brand new 2600+ sq ft house. literally runs everything in my house. 3 refrigerators, furnace(gas with electric fan) dishwasher, washer/dryer. you HAVE to choose when to run things but for the most part i have all 3 refrigerators and my furnace always on. all my lights are LED so that helps too. be smart and use surge protectors

I just bought mine today I just have to add the oil and gas to make it run cus Chicago weather you can't be messing! The last past 2 years I went without power for 3 days! Sucks especially with young kids
I bought the latest version of this unit......the one with the 120V outlets showing individual GFCI protection (TEST and RESET buttons on each receptacle)...like yours. However, I did not get a tool kit with wrenches and spark plug kit like the earlier versions. Did you?
Fill it by tilting the generator up. Lay it back down to check the level. :D Yeah, for draining it, I don't have a great way of doing that. diversion tray to make it into a pan like you said.
Nelson Zelaya the manual recommends using 5w30 at 32F and below and 10w30 at 32f & above. I live in an area that never gets near freezing point so I always use 10w30 in my Predator.
Use synthetic once broken in and it will live well. Mobil 1 5w30 in my unit. Starts when its 20 below zero and does not overheat or bog running moderate loads in summer.
Yes, the 10w30 is good for summer and the 5w30 is good for winter weather. The manual says 0.6 quarts of oil is needed, so that equates to 19.2 ounces. :)
I've noticed better results when using 0.5 quarts (16 oz.) of oil. I think the generator manual has a typo because the predator 212 cc engine manual says it uses 0.5 Qts. of oil. The 0.6 qts. (19.2 oz.) of oi made the engine slightly harder to start, oil was shot through the breather tube and soaked the air filter. I also noticed that when I went to check oil level with the dipstick (generator on level surface), the oil would pour out the dipstick opening. My conclusion is that the generator manual is wrong and 0.6 Qts. (19.2 oz.) Is too much oil. Use 0.5 Qts. (16 oz.) instead. This half quart amount of oil resolves all issues mentioned above and will not harm anything. :)
I watch your cnc videos, have a pm 25 mv. I live in Massachusetts, have a building lot in Lehigh. Can't wait to make the move. Is there a way I can contact you?
When I started doing this RUclips thing, I promised my wife I wouldn't share too much personal information. Understandably, she's concerned about privacy. That being said, I monitor comments every few days and that is a good way to reach me.

Your hand was in the way so I could not see the choke button you gave very little information about the generator you did not show where the carburetor was.
Dallas Reed ... You can change the 13 amp reset button out to a 20 amp. Just make sure the wiring from the reset to the outlet is 12 gauge wire and it will be fine.
I think you need to change the oil every 20 hours of use. I would check the oil every time I run it, but would wait until after the 20 hours to change it.
If you buy one new put oil in it and run it for 10 or 15 minutes then change it while it is still hot. The idea is to flush out the metal shavings ASAP. I have opened up 3 of those brand new Chinese Honda clones and you wouldn't believe what comes out of there with brake clean and a rag. Metal shavings or not it's still a good break in procedure.
That "ILLEGAL Hook up" through you panel is how you "KILL LINE MEN!!!!!" Get yourself a proper transfer panel OR use an interlock equipped breaker on your panel. You'll get yourself or someone killed with that male-male cable. When Your little generator "Back feeds" through the transformer the power goes back up the pole and it comes out the transformer the same voltage as the utility is putting in. When the line men go to FIX said power lines they think power is off and get zapped leaving wife and kids crying without a father!
TRAIN WRECK, honestly they’re not as loud as this one sounds. I just bought my 2nd one and they’re fairly quite. His was loud here from all the echoing of the garage walks

I still got mine. Runs really good still. I ran the ac in my camper off the 110 plug and I didn't have any issues.
Century has an oil drain extender that facilitates checking the oll level draining and filling the engine oil.

How do you hook up a portable generator to your house?
could you show me how you hooked it up to the house i have a small home in the desert and have regular outages.
If your small is equipped with a dryer you can back feed through the dryer plug but make sure you turn off the main double end 240 plug

my predator 3500 quiet came with the long orange funnel and oil fill/drain is identical, this one doesnt?
It did not. But, they may be including that now.
I wonder if this will run a 140 Welder

I see those breakers are only 13 amps. So if you were to use a 15 amp circular saw it would trip?
It probably won't trip unless you are pushing the saw to it's limit.
It's long been known that some circular saws will trip the breaker on those. My 3.6kw has 20 amp breakers. I don't have that issue.
Make sure you shut off fuel supply at tank and let it suck carb dry before storage as them carbs parts are hard to come by
Helpful video! Thanks!
can a welding machine operate on this generator
3200watts / 220V = ~15AMP. If you can find a 220V welder that doesn't pull more than 15 amps, then you should be able to power it with this generator.
how do i turn it off tho?
How do I properly turn this generator off ?
how big is it can you pick it up by your self
It weighs about 100 pounds. I can move it around by myself without too much trouble.
Depends on how big of a boy you are.

Why won’t my genartor crank over when pulling start
Good video and good information. 0.6 quart capacity oil. 0.6 quart = OZ ? Please. Thanks for your answer!!
0.6x16=
No, no !!!! .....16 oz is a PINT...not a QUART. There are 32 oz in a quart. So..... use 0.6 x 32 = 19.2 oz. Sheesh.
That was a total brain fart on my part. Most engines this size use about 20 fluid ounces. Just put oil in until it runs out the fill hole.
F.G.I.
Was your Google broke?
Would anyone know if you can enclose the generators kinda like the predator 3500 without causing any problems?
If its a big concern, you could always vent fresh air with fans, consume mabye 15-30w per fan. Plug them right into the generator.
